Audioglider returns on Manual Music's MNL subsidiary with his latest single 'Oxygeneration' - a powerful piece of melodic breaks. A strong hybrid production as retro funkin' electronic boogaloo meet modern day synths. Proper piece of dance floor euphoria this one!

First up on remix duties it's Facundo Borras who makes his second appearance on the label after having released his song 'Oathkeeper' on the Seasons | Spring 2022 EP a few months ago. The second remix is done by label debutant and talented all round producer Ranj Kaler. It's super cool to see how both have created a four to the floor version, each taking Audioglider's original into a completely different direction.

Grooveyard - Seven Mile [Lore J remix]

Published 1992. Track 1 of EP on STR records. 
EP release thanks to my friends Rene van der Weijde and Jochem Paap, who introduced me to the record boss.
L stands for Liane, my girlfriend at that time and now my wife (since 1996).  I wanted to do a 'chicago synth string' track, and liked the melodramatic sound very much.
Track somehow was published under the name of "Trance" on Tribeka records.

Originally a track fast made to finish the EP, but it was the most succesfull track I ever made. Top 40 in Belgium and many compilations. A bit confusingly named Opus while the other side of the vinyl had a track called Opus 1. This track should have been named Opus 2, but something went wrong with the art work..

Just ahead of the stunning debut album "Accidental Beauty" on Section Records, Audioglider aka Roberto Sodano turns in four slices of sublime downtempo in the form of the Summer Rainstorm EP - the perfect introduction to Audioglider's 80's inspired downtempo, which weaves a shoegazing sensibility together with nu-disco, lounge and house flavours to produce his trademark brand of electronic elegance.

The title track, Summer Rainstorm, has already had an auspicious introduction to the world when it was licensed for Nick Warren's recent Renaissance Masters Series compilation earlier this year. Swirling layers of Robin Guthrie-esque guitar drive the song forward in a relentless flow of chord changes, sidechained crashes and supreme melodic touches, which combine to perfectly evoke the scene of the title. No wonder it caught the attention of Warren.

Backing up the title track are 3 original tracks which extend the story. Restoration, reminiscent of classic Nightmares On Wax, skillfully weaves guitars, mallets and filtered, echoed vocals over lush pads and a smooth dubby bassline, and would be right at home blasting out over an Ibiza beach at sunset. Wrapped Up Tight provides a delicate, electronic counterpoint to the live instrumentation of the earlier tracks with smooth, bubbling electro percussion tickles your synapses while the Mediterranean lounge melodies develop and envelop you, leaving you kicked back and well and truly ready for the summer. Crossing Boundaries, a collaboration with Infinite Groove, takes the bpm right down to a laid back 69 (oo-er missus) with a subtle yet beautiful cascade of arpeggios and a quirky, slightly-inebriated structure that wouldn't be out of place on a William Orbit album.
