The original Valley of the Shadows by the legendary Origin Unknown is a staple track of the rave scene, and one of my all time favourites. For this 'illegal' remix, I wanted to keep it as close to the original as possible, so it seemed as if it could have been a genuine remix from back in the day.

I got into Rave music back in 1991 through hearing The Prodigy 'Everybody In The Place' on the radio. Then someone at school who gave me an LTJ Bukem Love Of Life tape tape and it was from that point onwards I became a lover of breakbeats. I started DJ'ing in 1995, playing old skool and Happy Hardcore, moving swiftly onto Jungle when Hardcore became too cheesy and bouncy. I started playing out at some local clubs when they put Jungle nights on but never got to play at a larger event. Fast forward to 2006 and the Hardcore Breakz scene was exploding, and I made sure I was buying every single bit of vinyl which was coming out and kept up to date with everyone on the forums. I met DJ Nee in 2007 and he introduced me to studio production, and I started to produce my own tracks. Nee and I remixed a classic track by DJ Reckless the same year and I have continued to write tracks ever since. I co-owned Pitch Control Records with DJ Trix, and we put out a couple of releases during this time which featured classic tunes by the likes of Sike, Nervous & Anxious and Stu & Nee, among others. 
In 2021 I started Phoenix Breaks which is a physical record label dedicated to releasing breakbeat rave music on vinyl. The first release due late Summer 2021 features 4 brand new tracks and will be available through Bandcamp.
