Taking inspiration from the 80's Cosmic disco in Lazise (lake of Garda) tapes by Daniele Baldelli and Tosi Brandi Claudio , Miki started to number his tapes recorded during 'Mezzanotte Mezzogiorno' the italian after hour into Club Imperiale (Tirrenia-Pisa-Italy) where he was resident-dj from end 90 to middle 1992; this material is all dj-sets live recorded, not edited or redone in a second time - here is the # 36 - recorded in 1991.Serie called Mamma (matrix)

Grazie ad un Dj di nome Livio (r.i.p) arrivai alla consapevolezza che quello sarebbe stato il mio lavoro.Lui era il dj dell'Arlecchino di Santa Maria Codifiume,mi piaceva perché miscelava senza barriere tra generi e faceva una grande ricerca,inoltre aveva una buona tecnica considerato la tecnologia a disposizione.A 17 anni ,molto giovane diventai il resident del Pink Panther di Ferrara dove la domenica pomeriggio facevo selezioni afro,funky,elettroniche,disco ispirate appunto a Livio che chiamai insieme ad altri ,come Daniele Baldelli e Pery.Iniziai poi a sviluppare un mio stile che grazie a Dio mi ha portato dagli anni 90 a mettere i dischi in molti club famosi in giro per il mondo con grande soddisfazione ma ovvio il primo amore non si scorda mai!

From his first few releases on the influential Interactive Test label and as Major Hypnotic Key Institute, Miki was a key figure in shaping the early techno landscape. It's testament to his staying power that he's been able to remain cutting edge for so long, with many of his records getting a new lease of life when picked up by the usual suspects.

This mix checks in at almost three hours and is a consummate display of the man's talents; the sheer breadth of his record collection and the skilful manner it's woven together in all befitting of a 30+ year veteran.
