“OVEN LIGHT” is a street-born memory record from Black La China, capturing the moment childhood safety disappeared and survival instincts switched on. It’s a song about how something small  a toy oven, a soft light, a quiet corner  can mean everything to a kid growing up in chaos.

Set against smooth but gritty Brooklyn production, jazzy textures, and heavy bass, Black La China tells a story many families never talk about: eviction days, mental illness, silence in the house, and the way children learn early that dreams don’t always survive grown decisions.

It’s a reflection with teeth.
