Khanya Mzaza (DJ MZET) is one of South Africa’s up and coming producer and disc jockey, who’s now familiar in Gauteng, KZN and the Eastern Cape club scene. This act has gone far out as Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe to showcase his talent both on the decks and on the production suite. As a Dj he has shared the stage with the greatest house pioneers in the world,  including Fresh, Euphonik, Tira, Oskido, Christos Vinny Da Vinci, Rocco, Black Coffee, just to name but a few.

Dj MZET’s love for music began at a very young age, in bedroom studios with Bevan Godden now the owner of Native Noise Music Enterprises, and Boogiemen Davids the man who taught me how to play early 2003 where the future looked promising for this hard working young lead.

In 2006 Mzet started to focus mainly on house music and began taking disc jockeying as a career and in 2007. Boogiemen helped Mzet master the art and improve his skills.

Studying at The Academy Of Sound Engineering, MZET was part of a group called Melville Kings  which was formed by a number of up and coming disc jockeys and producers including Mr 23, Dj Game, LZK, The fashion Dj, Brivo, and Mpeshnyk. 

Dj Sgubu blessed this young talent as he was now featuring on Major Music Festivals in Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Witbank, Secunda, Port St Johns, Durban and many other cities around South Africa. Mzet became a resident in a couple of Johannesburg night spots including Tranceky’s Beat Bar, Stripes on 7th , Capello Lonehil, Capello Newtown and Stones Melville. Mzet’s love for radio grew as he completed his NDip in Sound Engineering, majoring in Radio Broadcasting. He also featured on many community radio stations . 

MZET has been a busy DJ since December 2008 and most of 2009 as he teamed up with the ZIYAWAMO crew to promote the hit MONEY MAKER which became  a major boost  in his career.


In 2010, Dj Mzet was spotted in a lot of build-up shows for the FIFA 2010 World Cup which also paved the way to many gigs in the fan parks of the Eastern Cape and Kwa Zulu natal.

Currently Mzet is working on remixes and singles which will blow people away, while his mixes could be heard on Alfred Nzo Community Radio 98.3 and 93.8 MHz every Friday Morning between 6 and 9 and rocking at the best parties. He is promoted by Generic Touch Events and managed by Athini Gudla.

DJ MZET also gives back to the community as he hosts parties annually that give to the poor, and also parties like DA KASI CHILL SESSIONS
