It is extremely rare that Bruise Your Body Breaks puts out a mix. Our show is fully intended on the Visual aspect of the DJ world. { Www.the-lost-art/live } We do not make perfect mixes nor try to! It is one thing to listen to a mix, but it is another to enjoy the showmanship and the craft of the mixing culture. We deal with so much unreleased music, that we do not put mixes out to help these artists achieve better sales and also to keep the market from flooding. We are here for the producers first, and will always be here to help push this amazing sound. Dominance Electricity and the other artists have agreed to let this one of a kind mix to be released. This was done all by hand { 2 Turntables and a mixer }in front of a live audience on www.the-lost-art.com 10 PM Eastern - 022014. It is extremely humbling to get a stab at all of this production. It was an incredible night to remember and thank you to everyone involved!

I just want to say first off that I had a great time tonight. I really did.. Very rough week up until the show and the music saved the day! It was nice to step back and really enjoy the productions used as a fan first and DJ second. The world can seemingly fall apart, and nothing else matters but the music that keeps things together! It really has been a blessing to work with so many labels and producers that do help peoples lives with their wonderful creations. Its been very humbling to have this show and especially the people that support not only us, but the station that keeps giving and giving. Im super proud to be just where Im at, nothing more and nothing less. Thanks to the TlA team holding the fort down. All of you guys are amazing! What can I say... Wow..... We do this show every week with no pre set ups or ideas on what we are going to do for the week. { We do this weekly for producers of all levels Thursday nights 10PM Eastern time. } We collect tracks and throw them in a folder until Thursday nights. { 2 Turntables and a mixer. } We literally enjoy the music as a first time listener to the show. We are so humbled to have so many support this crazy station and show, So much, if a producer sends us a promo, we spin it all and make it work. { On The Fly. Thats Natural.  Hehe...}. Its not uncommon to have fans and producers give us music to play LIVE during the show. Thank you so soo much for the support over the years. We rarely, rarely put mixes out unless the production requests it. We do not care about the replay more so then it being live that you can watch weekly. We are a live VIDEO show and soley live for the live mix. No second chances.  Big shout to then listeners. We promised we would release this because of all the errors the video was causing. The Baker Beach Editions (of the West Florida Takeover w/dr_anderson) are a salute to foundational events in the SF Bay Area, where DJs took acid house and gave it a deep house soul. There were legendary parties and sightings in that part of the county in the early 1990s, including a group hallucination of a UFO encounter during a beach rave party.

dr_anderson was a visiting interstellar life form at UC Berkeley during this era, and bought his first vinyl records at Daddy's in Berkeley, CA, USA, EARTH. This mix series is an attempt to put that deep, acidy, funky spirit of the SF Bay Area into a breakbeat and electro body.
