Track I´ve made just before the trip to Masters of hardcore Australia. Just finished the final mix a few hours before i had to go to the airport, so then I felt truly ready for Australia. A nice combination of a rough bouncy melody and a more spaced out out melody.

01. DROKZ - TIME FOR A CHANGE ready for australia version

The preview of this track caused quite a stir. ¨Is Drokz goin for frenchcore instead of terror?¨. Well, i´ve been making frenchcore for years. Remember ¨Bounce the classical way¨, ¨I accept the word of satan¨ or ¨The wild one makes your hips go boom¨? So i decided to give it a Drokz flavour. I´m missing some rough gabber melodies in most of the frenchcore I hear and I think that this is just something that has worked out perfectly. Took the kick of the remix I did for Tones & mc Impact & re-trashed it. But damn, I spent hours on the mixdown to make it sound warm. Funny fact: that the preview of this track got 5000 more plays then the terror tracks ;)

02. DROKZ - THIS BEAT IS GOIN TO MESS YOU UP

Found this amazing acapella on, guess what, the internet. Since i´m hooked on the internet, it was quite obvious that I use  it (and paid for it, no joke). Cut the vocals and struggled with the question if I should leave the break that long or not. I don´t like too long breaks, but this was way too cool not to keep it this way. The solution I thought of was to fade a vocoder into the vocal to make it a bit more exciting. For the rest, it´s a combination of some industrial sounds and an oldschool choir sample (not that original, but cool for a partyvibe).

03. DROKZ - THE INTERNET

The vocal says it all…respect to the workingclass. It ain´t always easy to get your azz to work, but it has to be done. I also have a dayjob, so i´m feeling ya. This track is basically some hard kicks and a phonky snare. Listened to it over and over and never had the feeling that it needed a shitload of edits and sounds. It´s just working and hard. Funny fact: the noise at the end is coming from the kick, even a noisegate didn´t work properly, so I had to cut it all out ;)
