"Popping by the Village Vanguard" is an homage to the great jazz club in New York. While wanting to encapsulate the classic feelings of the jazz club heyday, we also wanted to add fresh beat elements to bring this era to the modern audience's ear. We went through stages of listening to live performances from Jazz musicians from the 70's and beyond to get a feel for the vibe created in these spaces and then added updated brass and embellishments.
