Released on Atlantic Records (CAT# 0-86029) in 1991 this absolute gem of a classic is so underrated and forgotten about. It is one of my favourite Masters At Work remixes and productions, that simply oozes and drips class.
It only lasts 3 minutes 23 seconds so when it was released I used to use 2 vinyl copies to make it last longer, now in 2021 I've got Ableton and produced an extended edit that lasts a minty bit longer at 8 minutes 16 seconds.
A True Classic House Track !!!

Chris Cuevas - Hip Hop Dub MAW (DJ Nipper Epic Edit)

Originally released on the B-Side of "Maurice Joshua & Hot Hands Hula -  I Gotta Big Dick" on Trax Records (CAT# TX169) in 1988 with spoken vocals by "Hot Hands" Hula Mahone, initially the writing credits were given to Mahone and producer Lidell Townsell.
Later Les Adams remixed it calling his mix the "K&T Mix",(this is the version I've used for my edit), with only Maurice being credited as writer and producer.
Only the original version of This Is Acid contained a TB-303 legitimizing it as an "Acid Track", while Les Adam's remix sampled Todd Terry - A Day In The Life and Inner City - Big Fun, and was devoid of any TB-303.

This is the main version with a sample of Talking Heads - Once In A Lifetime that Sugar Bear used in the original, there is also a version without the Talking Heads sample.

What can I say about this track ! It's definitely in my all time Top 10 favourite House Tunes simply because it's such a wicked tune and the incredible memories this record holds for me.
This is my vinyl copy that is now unbelievably 30 YEARS OLD with a few rice crispies on it (snap crackle and pop) if you listen carefully.
Released in 1989 on Profile Records (CAT# PRO-7241) this had an all star production and remix team featuring Blaze, Frankie Knuckles and David Morales.

Chanelle - One Man (DJ Nipper Xtended Edit)

This is the second of my "The Art Of Mixing" mix series which focuses solely on a collection of my favourite breaks tracks from the late 80's to the early 90's.
Many fond memories listening to all these tracks again like The Man Alive (Manchester) and spinning with DJ Welly on cold wet Wednesday nights at Wigan Pier where we had fun dropping lots of these wicked tunes.

4 Hero's "Combat Dancin' E.P." was released on Reinforced Records in 1990 and Mr. Kirk's Nightmare was without doubt the standout track.
4 Hero were Marc Clair, Dennis McFarlane, Iain Bardouille and Gus Lawrence.
The track samples : Think - Once You Understand, Isley Brothers - Get Into Something, Lyn Collins - Think, Sly & The Family Stone - Love City, Tommy Roe - Sweet Pea and Extra T's - ET Boogie.

4 Hero - Mr. Kirk's Nightmare (DJ Nipper Vocal Remix)

Released in 1988 - Annette's Dream 17 was written by Gerald Simpson (A Guy Called Gerald), Mike Pickering, Ritchie Close and Simon Topping (the latter 3 were T Coy) with vocals by Annette Dos Reis.
Not a bad collaboration !
This is definitely my favourite UK Acid House track.
RIP Ritchie Close.

Released in 1991 on a 4 track white label (CAT# RESPECT 001) then picked up by 380 Records (CAT# PEW T2) which was a sub label set up by PWL (Pete Waterman).
Ultracynic were Sarah Lennon (vocals), Tim Brennan (passed away 2001), Ged McGrath and Alex Moran.
Produced by Nick Hussey and Steve Burgess.
Massive Bowlers Anthem and...I don't mind writing that's it's a guilty pleasure of mine ;)

This huge piano anthem was released as a 3 track bootleg in 1990 on Soft Records (CAT# CL 161057).
Pin Up Girls was Paul Waller who is a pretty famous lad on the quiet having worked with Massive Attack, Bjork, Soul II Soul, Gang Starr, Art Of Noise and De La Soul...plus more.
This is on of many edits I completed for the mix I did for Butty and his OSA Mix Battle with the legend himself - "DJ Welly".

Vision Masters - Keep On Pumpin It Up (DJ Nipper Vox Edit 2020)

This is a mix I did for my longtime friend Butty who enticed me with a mega fun bag of midget gems, and I simply couldn't resist.
The mix was a special OSA (Old Skool Anthems) video event called "The Battle Of Nipper & Welly" held in January 2021.
