I opened the night with a range of house I wanted to hear and I thought would kick start a dance floor. This is one of my best set recordings so how come I never released it?  

Only because I had released a set with similar vibes right before playing. 

This was a really fun winter party - in fact I had a rather sketchy drive home to Eugene in a snowstorm...

Been meaning to put this one out there for a while.  In 2024, I'm dedicated to putting out more mixes so here ya go!

Since the 1990's, Gavin Hardkiss (along with faux brothers Robbie and Scott) helped pioneer American electronic music, from releasing classic tracks that permeated the underground scene to remixing artists like Mazzy Star, Elton John and Michael Franti. With a fresh Dirtybird update on the classic "Acid Funk" by Hawke & God Within (two of the three Hardkiss brothers) about to hit the street, Gavin stops by Dirtybird Radio to lay down a set full of breaks, acid and psychedelic sonics.

It has been about a year since my last desert show and last night I was deep in the desert dropping a 2 hour set of deep, melodic and tracky stuff. I even dropped a track I have loved for over 30 years and I am not sure if I ever played it out live. It is called "3/4 Heart" by Black Dog Productions and came out on Warp Records in 1993. One of my faves. It is towards the end of the set and to me it just fit the scenery and vibe of the desert during the rain. Oh yeah, it started raining about halfway through my set. Not heavy but noticeable. To me it just added to the moment. Hope you enjoy.

Live set from the Rave Rewind takeover at Space Taco in Pomona. My main focus was to play nothing but great tracks from the 90's. The more memorable, the better. The more anthemic, the better. I started off with some classic house following my boy Tony Gamboa and then built up the BPM's slowly until we were in full on Trance mode. If you are up for some classic house and trance, well this is your mix.
