“BASS DOWN, MASK UP- Breakbeat United Vol.18” is a 2.5hr mix featuring a 65 track journey through 2020 Breaks. This live, one-take recording is something I have been planning and working on since late last year and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. Packed with more BOOM & BASS than your dancing shoes can ever funk to, this is officially the longest mix in my signature Breakbeat United Series. My inspirado came from how much fun it was doing my 3 hour long “Quarantine Boom” Twitch shows during most of the 2020 pandemic. Those experiences made me realize how much I enjoy longer and deeper sets, but they only featured classic music from my back catalogue. Since all live shows were canceled because of Covid-19, I found myself with no creative outlet for my desire to play “NEW” Breaks released during 2020, so this project was born. “Bass Down. Mask Up” is a combination of that newfound love for the “long set” but with new music and my signature style of aggressive harmonic mixing. With an emphasis on the flow and vibe, this set is sure to delight the senses and please even the most fickle of Breakbeat fans! It’s also guaranteed to make any BBU vet giddy with BASS! Strap in for a ride you will not soon forget!

It's been over a year that you have waited for another BBU entry. Well the wait is over. BBU 19 marks the end of an ERA! This tight hour of bangers was recorded as my last 'east coast' preformance. Heard live on 5.21.22 @ Karma in DC it truly was a proper EXIT!!! Now I am settled in the LBC and ready to share it with both my past family and my new soon to be West Coast fam!. My soundcloud account began in 2012 with my Breakbeat United mixes and until now only featured sets that were recorded since its creation. This new monthly series will feature classic Dj Nysus sounds that have never been on soundcloud! I wanted to Kick off my new monthly series #NBR #TBT "Never Been Released Throwback Thurs" with a bang and the choice was obvious. Back in 2007 I made what is arguably one my most popular CD releases ever. One night in Philly at one of the now infamous and almost forgotten "Gods Basement" parties I dropped around 1,500 copies of 'Sexytime' , it was my first time in playing in Philly and the fans snagged every copy I had. To this day people will name drop this mix as the one that got them hooked on my sound and yet it has never been on my soundcloud. I have now been a Philly resident and musician for almost 9 years now and the tide the drew me here is forever linked to the sounds in the mix.

Hold on to your seats kids cause this one is gonna make that ass wanna move! The Breakbeat United mix series has come to define my musical journey since late 2011. So I wanted the 6th installment of my signature compilation to somehow take it up a notch. I wanted to push myself both through style and technique. The goal being to drop more tracks in one cd mix  then I ever have before while still giving you the listener a smooth satisfying breakbeat experience. This mix features 34 tunes with no acapella or loops to boost my track count. This equates to just over 2 mins a song. With a pace this aggressive the trick is making it still flow like a normal mix.  I leave it to you the fans of my mix series to be the judge of whether that goal was reached!
