I love playing in intimate spaces like the upstairs room at Public Works... being able to reach out over the turntables and say hi to friends on the dancefloor makes the booth feel so much homier.  As always, the Space Cowboys kept the dancefloor going from start the finish and I appreciate the chemistry that the Cowboys stir up when we play back to back all night.  I've been on a booty breaks spree since Burning Man 2013 and I keep coming back to the bass heavy beats for my sets... from the looks of everyone on the floor, the bass was well-received. :)

Elite Force aka Simon Shackleton has had an extensive career spanning over 20 years. Starting off as a musician and being a band member with Thom Yorke before moving onto his own outfit called Lunatic Calm which had quite a successful career and a few number one tunes including "Rollercoaster". Simon has also worked with a bunch of top acts, remixed, wrote movie soundtracks, toured and was one to watch in the Nuskool Breaks scene. He then developed the Tech Funk genre in the late 2000's included with such artists as Meat Katie and Dylan Rhymes to name a few. Nowadays Simon plays marathon 6 hour LIVE sets in his "One Series" and has moved into the world of professional photography.

One fine day in the middle of May, MTG Primate Crooked Sounds was chilling with a banana, listening to the sounds of the Jungle when the idea hit him! The MTG needs to branch out into some Drum n Bass!! He gobbled the rest of his 'naana, busted out some kick ass dnb, threw it at Bulla's feet and said, "have a go at this!!" Bulla took up the challenge and brought some dirty, low slung vibes to the mix then threw it over to Linda B who chucked in some cheeky dirty sounds. Professor Prim8 heard the call and finished it off with some typical nastiness and thus the mix was born. MTGnB are proud to present our first DnB mix, Drum 'N' Apes! Enjoy!
