Very emotional night when we returned to the venue due to an overwhelming Facebook campaign to get the Retro sound back. Over 22000 people signed such campaign to turn our minds.

Retro's 16 Birthday at Tall Trees

Created by once main resident Dj at the iconic Angels in Burnley. Paul was a jock at the venue from 1976 right through until it's closure in 1996.

Angels was the birth place of Retro the UK's longest serving dance brand - established in 1989 and still going strong with an outstanding reputation as the Pioneers of the Classic House sound.

Now this is Nostalgic!

My first ever studio production alongside breaks master Danny Hybrid and master engineer Tony King featuring none other than Kylie Minogue - when she was acting in neighbours.

The sound was based around an underground event at ANGELS in Burnley Lancashire called VISION and used to attract thousands every Friday in 1991.

Strange but true story - that just would not happen these days. How I wish it would.

A professional DJ since the 70’s, Paul has become an international club legend with his RETRO HOUSE nights.

Since those early days in the UK, Paul has built up a reputation as the dj who is passionate about his music - knowing exactly what the people want and getting the dance floor buzzing. 

His philosophy to keep close to his audience has been an unequivocal success. Involved in the creation of the dance outfit Loveland in the early 90’s achieving four top thirty hits in the nationals and dance music record of the year in 1994 with the seminal "Let the music lift you up". Loveland also remixed and reproduced over 60 tracks for other artists from D Ream, Barbara Tucker, D Mob to Lulu.

Recently the newly formed Rox & Taylor received huge critical acclaim for the remix of Red Hot Chilli peppers ‘ Otherside’. 

Having released numerous Retro compilation albums, his residency in Pacha Ibiza sparked the release of the Pacha Classics album; a huge success on a worldwide scale and the biggest selling album in Ibiza. 

Much has been written about this enigma of a man who developed from a teen DJ on the decks in Burnley to an internationally recognised icon.
