Three fresh cuts here from St Petersburg's own nu-disco don Sunner Soul, AKA Aleksandr Chebankov. There's a clue in the title as to the sound of the EP generally, but diving into specifics, it opens with the dense and shuffly 'Dans Le Metro', which sports a very fine, live-sounding bassline. 'Sweet Music' is similar in approach, distinguishing itself mostly through the use of a familiar-sounding "come on, give me some more" female vocal snip and also sporting some sprightly pianos, but the standout for yours truly is 'Love Break', which has crisper, cleaner production, a nice hefty b-line, sweeping strings and an overall summer-y feel.

Austin was born in Harlem, New York to Gordon Austin, a jazz trombonist, and Edna Austin and was raised in Bay Shore, New York on Long Island. Quincy Jones and Dinah Washington have referred to themselves as her godparents.

When she was four years old, she made her debut at the Apollo Theater and the next year had a contract with RCA Records. During the 1960s, she was a session musician who sang background vocals and commercial jingles. She was known as "Queen of the Jingles," appearing on commercials for Almay, Avon, Burger King, Impulse, KFC, Maxwell House, McDonald's, Meow Mix, Stouffer's, and the United States Army.

KEEP IT MOVIN is up first and is six minutes of floor rocking, booty shaking House with rapped and clipped vocals cutting up the percussion lead groove. It is tense and builds to a big peak, with a fantastic bassline carrying the whole thing along.

JACK IS BACK then pairs things back to a more subdued house beat with writhing synths bringing the energy. It is heavy, groovy and deep but also has a big physical impact.
