The two tracker begins by gracefully allowing time to clear your mind and exhale: the stopwatch melodies of ‘Tear Apart’ travel deep into the heart of space, equinøx’s gliding, panoramic sound awed and unfazed as one. Thrusting a little harder in comparison to its more delicate counterpart, ‘The Answer’ continues its wondrous voyage to amplify the senses; heavily atmospheric as it reaches a heavenly altitude, but equipped with punchy technology to keep dancefloors on high alert.

Recode and reload: Joris Voorn returns to a landmark collaboration in his career with this powerful new club version of 'Too Little Too Late' featuring the unique and hugely influential pioneers Underworld.

Previously spotted on Joris's warmly received and critically acclaimed LP 'Four' in November 2019, 'Too Little Too Late' was a stand-out moment of rocket-fuelled emotion and dreamy musicality that brought the album to an exciting peak.

And now dance floors will be pushed to new heights thanks to Joris's fresh and dynamic Little Late remix.

Switching out the gossamer synths and somnambulant sheen of the original for a much darker palette and heavier, focussed, groove it's a whole new animal that's entirely built up around this mighty high voltage drop where Karl Hyde's vocal sizzles through with absolute authority.

A great extension of the 'Too Little Too Late' story and a perfect timed update as we transition from festivals back to clubs. It's never too late for moments like this.

Spectrum boss Joris Voorn reworks Marsh's 2021 smash hit, 'Little Darling'.

An immaculate slice of progressive house that dropped as the world was in the depths of pandemic life, 'Little Darling' shined bright, due to its natural ebb and flow and arpeggiated chords, all backed by stately kicks and cheeky flips into breakbeat and tribal percussion. A firm favourite for so many, the track now feels primed and ready for a remix.

Replacing the breakbeats with a straight four-four, adding a growling bassline and bringing the original's trance-like melody to the fore, Joris does away with the original's slow-burn to create a fresh, euphoric and essential dancefloor moment.

Netherlands-based producers Estiva and Lake Avalon are set to impress with their first collaborative single, 'Future Memories,' set for release on Joris Voorn's Spectrum imprint on August 9th.

Estiva, renowned for his chart-topping hit 'Via Infinita' and a sold-out North American tour in early 2024, brings his signature melodic touch and infectious energy to the collaboration. With a discography that includes releases on Colorize and Anjunabeats, Estiva has solidified his place as one to watch in '24.

Joining him is Colombian producer Lake Avalon, best known for his innovative releases on Still vor Talent. His unique sound, characterized by deep, atmospheric elements, perfectly complements Estiva's uplifting melodies, creating a harmonious blend that is both refreshing and captivating.

'Future Memories' is a title that hints at the promising journey ahead for this dynamic pair. The track features a rolling bassline and an uplifting, positive melody that perfectly embodies the essence of a Spectrum release.

A rising German talent steps up for his Drumcode EP debut.

We got the first taste of Thomas Hoffknecht’s gritty Detroit-inspired sound in 2020, with ‘Code-1’ and ‘Escaping’, both impressive contributions to the recent A-Sides compilations. In a year with few highlights, the producer’s induction into the Drumcode fold marked a distinct positive.

Inspired by visits to the Planetarium in his hometown of Hamburg, Hoffknecht’s ‘Antaris’ EP is an immersive five-track work that charts the breadth of his raw, yet captivating style. The title track is driven by a catchy organ-driven riff and marching percussion and is awash with atmospheric intensity. ‘Comet’ is propelled by energetic stabs and shuffling beats. ‘Sirius’ makes its mark with a shimmering synth-line and spoken word vocal, which adds to the track’s dream-like texture. ‘Wega’ is a low-end rattler that comes up for air thanks to a piercing vox sample that smacks of ‘90s rave flavour. ‘Regulus’ is cosmic techno at its finest, as swirls of intergalactic melody radiate a halcyon spirit.
