another track from the vault, Purist is an early attempt to emulate the filthy techno i grew up on, 10 years old n i think it sounds ok. please leave your views, im thinking of giving it a 2010 remix,

Dagger mixdown1

born in 1972, in the sunny climate of north east england (scarborough).

1984 is where it all started for me, i became hooked on breakdancing. formed a crew with some friends and did all the usual street stuff, having burns with rivals. 
i also got into bmx riding at the local track.(on my doorstep).
hip hop and the culture was a massive influence on me as a young man then, at 16 i began to dj at a local weekly disco, which was an eye opener and i was hooked. this was now my life...........1990 and the rave scene hit the uk,,,,,,,wow,  
 my life changed soooooooo much. new friends, new experiences, it was what i was waiting for, the music became so new and fresh, old school breakbeat,rave and techno-- january 1992 me and my long time friend went to a club recommended to us- THE ORBIT in morley,leeds.
 headlining was dj sasha. the place was on fire, what a club. 
we continued going there as often as possible. until its sad demise in 2004(i think). this is where we got the privilage of seeing all the best  underground djs,
 DJ SY,CARL COX,CJ BOLLAND,SVEN VATH,JOEY BELTRAM,TANITH,ADAM BEYER,RITCHIE HAWTIN,GAYLE SAN,JEFF MILLS,CLAUDE YOUNG, AND PA`S OF THE HIGHEST ORDER, N-JOI, THE ADVENT, wow, i could go on for ever,
this place truly was techno nirvana, and the best and most respected techno club on the planet...................
needless to say im still driven by techno music....
 in 2001/2 me and 3 friends started a night locally called klunk, which became a local legend and collected a cult following,(thanks to all who were there)
after almost 3 years family duties meant an end to this, 
i began producing my own music( on an amateur level) in 2001. 
my only album release is entitled,INFECTION, on klunkmusic records which is a raw collection of hard techno/trance. almost 10 years on and im back in the studio, working on my next release.  as yet untitled it will contain 10 tracks of driving techno influnced by 2 of my favourite dj`s, advent and jeff mills................
i hope to complete this project by by the middle of 2010.
music is all around us, we are all children of rythm and culture.
