Álvaro Cabana has been a key figure in Madrid's club scene for more than two decades. Since taking to the turntables in the late nineties, Álvaro has played thousands of gigs, promoted hundreds of events, and held residencies at legendary venues such as Coppelia and Mondo. He now runs one of Spain’s most successful labels, Rotten City. Throughout his career, he has consistently combined his love for cosmic and italo, acid house, post punk, new wave, trance, and classic techno to create tracks aimed squarely at the dance floor.

A former vinyl dealer at Atlas Store, Cabana later channeled his expansive taste into production and curation. In 2015, he founded Rotten City Records, a label championing a psychedelic, romantic, and esoteric blend of cosmic body music. Its catalog features boundary-pushing artists such as Red Axes, Curses, Justin Robertson, Zombies In Miami, Damon Jee, Eden Burns, Elfenberg, and DS Salas.

As a producer, Cabana’s projects include D.Y.O.R. (with Christian C. and Rubén Kielmansegge) and Holographic Planes (with Damon Jee). EPs like Latinos Psicoactivos and Los Flagelantes highlight his cinematic flair and latin-infused sensibility. On his own, his discography is extensive, featuring releases and remixes on acclaimed labels such as Prins Thomas’s Internasjonal, PETS, and Trampoliner, to name a few-earning support from industry heavyweights like Dixon, Andrew Weatherall, and many more.
