I’ve been revisiting an old recording technique I named - “Dragged Mics” - it is what it’s called! I drag two dynamic mics behind me on various surfaces. This one is from my lawn this morning, where the grass was frosty. No edits to the recording. Works great with headphones so you get the full effect of the crazy stereo perspective.

A random path traced (upstream) through Bern on the river Aare. The melody is generated from each segment in order, with pitch based on the compass angle, and length based on the (arbitrary) length of the segment that was traced.

Musik vom Aare Fluß by The Land (disquiet0445)

Using loops of clips I recorded of a generator, a stairwell in high heels, a Rhodes and a trash can from the same building on an empty day. I mixed these with 808 programing on the Roland DJ 808 and with ROLI, Akai Rhythm Wolf, MIDI Fighter and Push2, KORG SV1 in live.
