AFREEK AKA DJ RICHIE D, originally from Pretoria South Africa, spent the early part of his life travelling the globe until he decided to put his roots down in London to allow his professional DJ career to take off. 

AFREEK became an instant hit with London’s private members’ clubs; Light Bar and Opal, the Kingly Club, Maya, Chloe’s, Home House, Shoreditch House and ChinaWhite. Having previously had a once a month slot at renowned club Pacha playing for Hedkandi and an impressive residency at Amika for some time.

More recently AFREEK has been DJ ing for the NBA covering not only their private parties but also their main events in London while also being the resident Friday night DJ at SO:UK in the past. He has now taken over a twice a month slot at The Kensington Roof Gardens.

His style ranges from Vocal, Electro, Progressive and Commercial House.

During his time in London AFREEK has DJ-ed with big names like; Mark Ronson, Bob Sinclair, Alex Gaudino, Eric Kupper as well as producing with Jon Allegro. He has got crowds rocking at parties for; P Diddy, Amy Winehouse, Kylie Minogue, Paris Hilton and NBA’s New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons. If that wasn’t enough for you AFREEK has also DJ-ed for corporate brands; Christian Dior, Armani, JP Morgan to name just a few.

As AFREEK progresses into 2013, his passion for music and Dj ing is at an all-time high. RUN RABBIT RUN, BREAK BITCH and THIS IS NOT HOME have proven AFREEK’s ability in production with his tracks being played all over Ibiza in the summer. AFREEK is soon to be releasing his new tracks RHYTHM OF CREATION and ORGASMO.
