After having DJ'd live twice since the pandemic shut down and working many hours on file organization, music shopping and digging through promos I decided to throw a bunch of tunes into Traktor. I set up a few efx, some cool sample and vocal efx and hit record! This is the result which I think is pretty representative of where I'm at right now with more energizing, peak material. I mixed this back in April while practicing with Traktor. After listening several times throughout the year I thought it would be cool to share the journey. It clocks in at 3 hours 18 minutes.  I actually had stopped mixing at 4 hours but didn't realize that the internal recorder had reached the limit so it just cuts off at the end.... to be continued.  The beginning is spacey and melancholy, opening with the intro of the incredible "Blade Runner Blues" by Vangelis. From 0 to 127 BPM's (lol),  first hour of the mix is deep and hypnotic with pulsing tribal rhythms and lush, trippy melodies later opening up to pumping, groovy tech house and finally some pretty big techno and progressive tunes....  I'm loving how Traktor is opening up my mind with creative possibilities. I still enjoy playing with CDJ's, CD's and vinyl but WOW, being able to get deeper in the mix with loops, samples, multiple effects and superior sound is fun and amazing too! The future is bright, music is amazing and I love sharing it. Peace.

DJ since 1985 based in NYC. Residencies throughout NYC in popular bars, lounges, clubs. Tools of the trade: Traktor Pro, Vinyl, CD’s, good ears and mostly prefer CDJ Nexus with USB drives and various mixers. Passionate about electronic and rock music and spin a variety of music such as trip hop, lounge, classic soul, disco, new wave, rock, house, techno and progressive house. Mission: tell musical stories, make people dance or just put them in a trance.  Prefer to keep it sexy whether deep or hard and tend to play dark, heavy, sleazy and hypnotic. I currently have a residency at The Eagle NYC every Thursday and every other Saturday.  I run a party called KiNK first Thursday of each month with my friend and host, “Q” at The Eagle.
