This is a new unsigned track that I produced during the 2020 lockdown.  I sat down and came up with this idea that resembled the music I grew up listening to in Miami during the 1980's.  If you are old school then hopefully it brings that flavor back for you.   When you feel inspiration then you gotta go with it.

Old Miami DJ Mix

I had the honor of being a resident at Gryphon located at the Hard Rock in Hollywood Florida from 2007 up until it closed in 2014.  Being able to call Gryphon home was special and carries many memories for me.  I had the freedom to create and play any music that I wanted to which is key for any artist.  Gryphon will always stand out for me with its management, staff, sound system and its weekly regulars who kept the dance floor going for many years. 
So I was home during the pandemic with all this free time available and I decided to dig through all my music from that era.  I never got the opportunity to do a proper closing party at Gryphon but If I would have done one it would have sounded something like this mix.  Whether you frequented the club or just here listening to my mixes, thank you and I hope that you enjoy what I put together over the course of the last year.

Roland - Summer 2021

Starting 2022 with a new mix series.  Thank you to all my supporters who are always asking for me to post old mixes.  I am starting this new "Golden Crate Mix" series which is featuring all the old classics from the golden era of progressive house and house music. This mix is the full 3 hour recording featuring Roland and Steve Lawler live at Space in Miami back in 2003 which aired on 93.1 FM broadcasted live with Buster.
The mix is still in the minds of music fans everywhere and received praise even a decade after it aired. We believe music is timeless and this mix will take you back to the days of marathon sets and vibe creation. 
The mix features Roland for the first 2 hours and 40 minutes of the live recording.  Steve Lawler came in for the final 15 minutes of the aired portion of the broadcast.  
It was a special night at the original Space in Miami, we hope you enjoy the mix as much as we did.

Roland Live at Club Space 7/20/2002

Roland began his DJ career in Miami playing at South Beach back in the early 90's. He is regarded as one of Miami's pioneers in the electronic dance music scene. In 2001, Roland started his long running residency at Club Space Miami where his versatility brought him to the main room and terrace every week alongside all the big names in the industry. He helped cultivate parties such as “Lunar Sessions” and “Local Celebrity” among his long running local parties.  Further notable residencies in South Florida include Nocturnal, Gryphon and Stache spanning 2 decades in the Miami/ Local club scene. Roland's work as a producer include tracks with labels such as Nervous Records, Kontor, Kingdom Kome Cuts and more.  Roland has travelled as a DJ worldwide over the course of 3 decades and continues contributing to dance floors with his unique DJ sets and productions.
