Jonna has been playing music with soul for the past 20 years, from the City Fly basement parties @ Sophbeck (RIP) in his hometown of Leicester, to the festival circuit in Croatia to the dark underground clubs of Berlin and as far as Tokyo. He has also supported the likes of Roy Ayres (RIP), Children of Zeus, Benji B, Underground Resistance & MCDE to name a few! 

Jonna has released notable music on Lumberjacks in Hell, BBE, Shadeleaf Music, Flat White Records and his own imprint City Fly Records which has gained support from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Mr Scruff, Jimpster and Derrick Carter. His last release 'Jus Move' featuring Javonntte with Marcellus Pittman & SoulPhiction (RIP) Remixes was featured in Juno Records Top 10 'Best Deep House Records’ of the year and was ‘Release Of The Day’ on Resident Advisor.

Recently, Jonna has been concentrating on his music promo service ‘Unveil PR’ and starting a family but is still an avid record collector and selector spanning many genres of the musical spectrum.

Sean has been a dj, music producer, radio host and party promoter for over 30 years. His unique take on house music and creative mixing have taken him all over the United States and Canada. Sean’s successful radio show BayAreaBeatbox ran from 2011 to 2024 starting on Pure Radio Holland and ended on Underground Kollektiv Radio in the UK. This show featured sets from Sean and hosted several artists like Paul
Johnson, James Curd, Jay Tripwire and others. Along with his own show he has also been featured on podcasts and mix shows around the globe. Sean’s original productions and remixes have been featured on Selekta Recordings, SoulJack Digital, Deepen Sound and many others. He has collaborated on remixes and productions with Jay Tripwire, Sen~Sei, George JJ Flores and others over the years.
In 2024 Sean relocated back to his home town Philly and has played several gigs in the city with recent gigs in San Francisco, Oakland, San Diego and Chicago.
Sean has been featured in Chicago’s 5Magazine.

Ultra rare sounds in a lost mix from one of the greatest DJs in the world. Paul Johnson mixing electro, synth and '80s classics in a unique throwback mix called RETROJACKTIVE.

Where This Mix Came From:
For a time, Paul Johnson was posting mixes to SoundCloud almost weekly and would delete them when they reached 100 downloads. I was one of the 100. Sometimes people re-uploaded them on SoundCloud or Mixcloud. But looking back through 5 Mag's archives, I found this mix again and realized that not only had it disappeared from the internet, but even the word "retrojacktive" turned up 0 search results. This might be the only copy of a very rare side of Paul Johnson. 

We have about three or four other mixes like this — either vanished from the internet or available in very restricted formats.

Mr. Tony Technics began DJing in 1997. Born and raised in the birthplace of House Music, Mr. Tony Technics Love for music began when he had listened to House Music DJs on the FM dial, from the Hot Mix 5 to the MixMasters and the local DJs. Mr. Tony Technics began producing and remixing songs in February of 2014 with his first release entitled, Chi-Shots, which was a sample of a Disco Track. Greyhouse was the first of many aliases adopted by Dutch DJ/producer Marcel Hol. In the late 80's the first signs of 90's optimism and euphoria started. Marcel was young, creative and ambitious because he got his hands on some new equipment like the sampler. Electronic music was within reach. Greyhouse landed a recording contract with Hip Hop Records, a dance label founded by Erik Van Vliet based in Rotterdam. In 1989 he released his debut single “Move To The Groove / New Beats The House.” Renaat Vandepapeliere from R & S Records cleverly spotted the record's potential. re-releasing it with “New Beats The House” as the A-side With this new exposure the song became one of the biggest hits of a New Beat sub-genre called Hard Beat. 

“New Beats the House” is peak sampledelia, based on a synthesizer line taken from Kraftwerk “It's More Fun To Compute” and vocal samples from Kraze “The Party” (Gimme a fat beat), Art of Noise “Opus 4” (No sun, no shade), Ice-T “The Hunted Child” (Bangin' for the thrill, man), and Ian McShane reading an excerpt from Ian Penman's essay ”The Annihilation of Rhythm". Weaved throughout is the TB-303 line that made this song an Acid House anthem.  The song also features one of the very first appearances of Jochem Paap aka Speedy J, credited for scratches. This reissue is backed with a 1989 remix by Marcel Hol that adds additional synthesizers and removes some of the vocal samples. On the B-side is Detroit’s Jared Wilson with his 7777 Acid Remix full of modulated 303, reverberated snap-claps, and a sample from Jesse Jackson’s speech 'I Am Somebody' from Wattstax Music Festival in 1972. Also included is “Move Your Assit” (Acid Version), the second single by Greyhouse. The track was originally released in 1989, and showcases a searing acid line over a beat from Stock, Aitken, & Waterman's “S.S. Paparazzi”. 

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The jacket is an exact replica of the 1989 R & S Records edition, featuring a drawing of figures dancing on a yellow vinyl record set against a bright pink background. Each copy includes a neon pink and yellow sticker and a postcard with liner notes by Marcel Hol.
