JB Thomas (aka Shart Alec) is a DJ/Remixer who lives & rocks out in The Sunshine State since the early mid 90’s. JB grew up in Buffalo NY & has always been deep into beats, b-boying & graffiti & upon arrival in S. Florida found the breaks scene & dove in. While studying Graphic Art at Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in the late 90’s early 00’s, he also got interested toying with some digital sound & via the new software & hardware  that was emerging at the time & shortly after, creating more mixes & remixes. JB continues to support the breaks scene playing & attending as many shows & events as possible, and providing the art VIA JBThomas DegitalDesign that makes it look mean. Along with DJ Chronic (The other Half 1/2 of the Get Funk'd! DJ's) Co-owns & manages the breakers of The Monkey Tennis Group, organizes the Festival of Friends (FOF) event series, & a founding member of The Grand Slam Crew (a world wide congress of breakers), The Florida Chapter VP of the 1200 Hustle, & the creative force behind exclusive breakbeat groups including Gourmet Beats, (admn) F**K You I'm A Florida Breaks DJ, Peace Love Unity Respect, (admn) Breakers Revenge, & (admn) Best of Breakbeats.
