Mixed live from the Island of the Gods in Bali’s Joshua District, a Czech outpost of art and skate culture overlooking the rice fields toward the ocean complete with a skate bowl in the front. Here, I’m delving deep into edgier dance floor vibes after a year and a half lockdown in Bali.

I played against the backdrop of a giant, blue human heart sculpture, made by the fellow who designed the new Czech flag - a thoughtful connection to the Desert Hearts fam. Separated from my old group KMLN, I got to re-coagulate my soundfreqs and play a wee set that I would want to dance to.

Shawna's passion for music began in early childhood attending the Winnipeg Music Folk festival in Canada, where she grew up. There, she was exposed to musical genius from all over the planet, refining her ear for the origins of all types of music. In 1999, she began to perform as DJ. Her sets are eclectic, genre-bending fusions of Future/Global Bass, Techno, House, Deep House, Moombahton, Hip Hop, Dancehall, R&B, Cumbia, Disco, UK Funky, Tropical.
She has the ability to read what any dance floor needs. Played next to many a known name such as: Bassnectar, Mimosa, Glitch Mob, Beats Antique, Moderat, Freak Nasty, DirtyBird, Tipper, etc..
and has a musical project with Zoe Jakes-
(of Beat Antique)- called Pussymonster.
She plays for the dancers!!!
