Inspired by & thanks too BASEMENT FREAKS & KAMY from PHATWAVE BEATS.
This little song takes us back on another funky/Jazzy/Hip-Hop trip with light vocal stems from the Rapper/Artist Kamy. 

How was this song made?

Started of with a Dm keys loop from the "FUNK LEGENDS" sample pack by the BASEMENT FREAKS Download Free Taster : www.basementfreaks.net/funk-legends/

Then added some guitars then created a synth bass and sweeping funky bass riff. Then a little sprinkle of Piano created to flow with the main guitar riff as the guitar and keys are the focal point to the whole mix and carefully chucked in some sounds in and out of key in the background before laying down the chorus vocal rap and backing vocal snippets.
Effects Used; Izotope Elements 9 for overall mix quality and on certain channels/tracks
Synth Used: Roland JD-Xi for some light sounds
DAW Used for mix: FruityLoops

Hint for New & Upcoming Artists/Producers;

Its not enough these days to just have a Guitar/Bass/Keys/Drums in the mix you need background/backline substance (lots of intricate sounds either doing there own thing in the mix or are a part of the backline percussion if a band was playing it live), so be creative and fill up the mixing bowl as its easier to take away from the mixdown than not have enough going on in the mix and listeners wont go further than 15-30 seconds in your songs.
Mixdown means the final mix prior to a song project being mastered, also one last hint, when building background/backline percussion or one shots of sound, try not to reveal everything to fast in a song. If you make that a rule in your songs then your listeners will know they must listen to the whole song to grasp the journey the song takes ... the song will tell you when its complete & be very descriptive in your music dialogue (let everyone know how you made a song and pass on your knowledge), If this helps one artist/producer a little bit then its a valuable description to the song as it serves more than one purpose.

INSTRUVOCAL is a Genre that has been around for awhile until DJ-SLT-UK placed his signature songs into that genre to make it his own has created where the song starts as an instrumental until the vocals come in normally for the chorus sections and bridge of a song ..hence INSTRUVOCAL (Half instrumental - Half vocal), It can be of any genre but must start of as an instrumental for atleast 1.5 minutes of a song before vocals as this sets the ambience and flow of the song before the vocal drop.

                Musik House Studios is about creating melodies that are catchy and music that's original with a slight tendency to cross over genres. Based in Coffs Harbour, Australia, founder/producer Simon Chappell aka DJ-SLT-UK has been crafting his talents in mixing and melody making from a young age of 7 and only recently has decided to let the world hear his music thats not based on the "whats In" trends but more so about the feeling of the music created.
