As music is so tremendously exciting to him, young Jestics – at the tender age of nine – feels drawn into the world of sounds in order to enjoy and produce them (flute, drums, decks).
The push into electronic dance music is given to him – not surprisingly – by the Loveparade (1996). From that time onwards he passionately sets off on the beaten paths of subculture through eastern and northern Germany (Hamburg, Berlin) and Switzerland (Zurich, Basel).
He makes his audience happy with colourful Techno- and House-Sets that are vividly mixed into one another, and he convinces everybody with his empathic and intoxicating nature behind the decks.

Jestics is one of those DJs who – without any releases of their own or the background of a record label – regularly play beyond the areas of their home towns or countries. This is due to his boundless enthusiasm, his reliable feeling for the dancefloor and, last but not least, to his continuous activities in the Underground.
1996 – 1999 he plays at various parties and clubs all over northern Germany and throws the first partys of his own.

2000 – 2011 after moving to Hamburg he accompanies the Strom-crew as a close friend, an ardent Resident DJ and joint promoter of their monthly partylabel having parties at Phonodrome, Waagenbau, Hafenklang and other places.

2001 – 2007 he arranges a monthly radio program at the Hamburg radio station FSK, where he invites distinguished guests to have wild electronic night sessions with them. But also on afternoon shows he provides EDM to the city and gives underground information to the scene.

2008 his way leads him to Zurich, where he is spellbound by his little family as well as the extremely lively and exciting nightlife of the city.

2009 a permanent project in his new home town is ready to get started: INTEAM. (www.inteam.ch) From now on he invites national and international musicians to different clubs of Zurich. His heart is particularly in his work with his cute and kickin‘ monthly sunday events in Hiveclub far beyond mainstream.

2010 he gets a residency at Hiveclub.

2012 the partylabel Hey Caroline! is born. It‘s settled at Hiveclub where he has a floorhosting every three months, focussing on international acts he knows personal. No ordinary name dropping.

2016 he disconnects from Hiveclub and it‘s ideology hence quits his residency. He finds a new homebase at Friedas Büxe in Zurich.

We continue our story with the deep, delicate sounds and beautiful music of Hiroyuki Kajino.

Hiroyuki is a driving force for dance music in Japan, having run some of the countries best record shops and pioneering the DJ mix format on FM Yokohama. Starting out as a new wave DJ and later on focusing on hip hop, he soon released a record on one Major Force, one of the most prevalent hip hop labels of the time. He later worked with Masabumi Kikuchi on deep house and  opened for the legendary Larry Levan of Paradise Garage fame. 

Today he’s focused on making new music and his sounds can be heard on labels such as All Day I Dream, Everything Will Be OK and Loot Recordings to name a few. His new remix with Yuichiro Kotani of SIlence Path “Alternative Reality” is a deep affair of rolling drums and warm piano melodies. We hope you enjoy the story Hiroyuki tells through his gentle rhythms and emotive style.
