Shambhala 2022 - Live at The Living Room

On the May long-weekend this year, I had one of my top-3 DJ gigs ever!  We loaded speakers & DJ gear onto the back of a snowcat, and drove it to the top of a snow covered ridge just north of Squamish BC.  The weather was perfect, and the views were spectacular!  About 50 friends gathered around to dance and watch the sunset, while myself and 3 pals played tunes.  After the sun was down, we closed the session with a glorious fireworks show.  This mix is roughly what I played on that magical evening.

Vital Signs is a new collaborative adventure for Rob Cutler (DJ Surgeon) and Ingrid Hakanson, inspired by their shared love of electronic music and each other. The name is a play on Rob's DJ handle and the fact that Ingrid is a health care worker by day. They were planning to release their first mix together when the Bass Coast applications opened. Both Rob and Ingrid are Bass Coast alumni and long time lovers and attendees of the festival, so they think this would be a perfect opportunity to debut Vital Signs. Sharing the decks with a fun mix of house, breaks, and garage, and with Ingrid doing live vocals sprinkled through their sets, Vital Signs is sure to delight listeners and increase their heart rates!
