This remix is FAR from finished but I've heard it so many times now while working on it that I don't even know where to go with it. Scratch Freestyle over M-Rode Beat

I saw Z-Trip at Coachella a few weeks back and was blown away by the creativity in his mix of these two songs, among others. Since I couldn't find a version anywhere online and several people showed interest in hearing what it would sound like, I thought I would throw something together real quick. I couldn't find or make an acapella of this song so I was stuck with only the original, so Z-Trip's version sounded a bit cleaner. The reason the vocals are so quiet and EQ'd down is to make the slight key clashes between the guitar from Jane Says and the bassline from Paper Planes less noticeable.
Again, this mix WAS NOT MY IDEA. I simply recreated Z-Trip's idea as a homage so that some friends could check out how it sounds. Check out some of Z-Trip's tunes and mixes for free over @ http://www.djztrip.com/downloads.html

Occupy Logic

Metal is by far the most complicated genre for mixing, as a matter of fact it's damn near impossible. It's the one genre I turn to when I'm looking for a real challenge. With odd time signatures, coordinated breakdowns and blast beats (live drummers fluctuate the tiniest bit in tempo which can throw off a DJ's mixing) it's near impossible to find tracks that will blend together. So these tracks I used weren't necessarily the ones I would liked to have (I almost never listen to KSE or PTW anymore), but they were the ones in similar speeds or with elements that would work together.
