My Good friend Tim Ashwell AKA SYNCRONICITY, came over from the IOW to play B2B with me.  We had a spontaneous B2B session around the beginning of May when we had a little party for my wife's birthday.  We had such a laugh and our music gelled so well together i asked Tim if he was up for doing a live stream B2B session and here is the result.  Time flew so fast we continued on past the 3 hour mark and nearly hit the 4 hours before deciding we had played enough music.

This set was recorded live and spontaneous after we got back from an awesome gig in Southampton.  A few friends joined me for the gig that was really good in my local town.  My long time friend Paul Sawyer also on the line up.  Great production, great crowd in a perfect underground vibe venue 15 mins from home.

I can't remember the last time i played in Southampton it's that long ago.  A few friends came back to ours and we turned on the loud speakers and got into our groove.  

Back to Back with my good friend SYNCRONICITY bouncing tracks off each other keeping the energy, sometimes going a little deeper, sometimes a little more melodic and not forgetting banging uplifting vibes at all times.

This was my 4th time to Dj'ing in the countryside of NL, a place called Elp.  My 3rd Hartstocht Festival Festival which has grown into a magical yearly ritual.

I never presumed I was going to play there this year as there's such a wealth of talent in the Netherlands right now.  So back in March when I was invited back again, I asked if it was ok if my mate Tim Ashwel AKA Syncronicity could join me for a B2B set and spice it up a little.  Yes was the answer.  Tim has travelled with me for the last 3 times now with a growing number of friends. So he's more than earned his stripes.  We play B2B quite often so it seemed a natural thing for us to play together at this magical festival.

Our room is called the Living Room because it really feels like you are in a big living industrial room.  Carpets, sofas, paintings on the walls. 

The music built steadily over the day.  Lemon 8 played before us, a very deep underground chugging set that built perfectly.  Until the end where he played a track as a tribute to his very recently passed partner.   Harry has a big following in his own country and many people were there dancing in support for his loss.  Emotions were high.  We were playing after Harry.  He said to me as I was standing next to him for most of his set "I'm going to play something special for his partner last so please let it play out"  I had presumed we would so had already planned to give him some space after his set. He played last "What a wonderful world by Louis Amstrong".  It brought most of us to tears with pictures of her on the screens behind us.    In all my 30 + years of Dj'ing i've never had to wipe the tears from my eyes as i did at the start of our set.  We let the music stop and the cheers and tears flowed. I could barely see where to put the USB stick.

Then we got stuck in and played a rocking set alongside my mate Tim.  We smashed it out.  Nick Muir was beside us most of the set.  Torn between us and Danny Howells on the main stage.  Our mates who had travelled from the Isle of White and up north were there at the front loving it.

Thank You So much to Hilbrand AKA DepGlobe & Barbara, Bob, Renee and their amazing crew of volunteers who took all year preparing for this.  

Without these unique loveable beings this event would not exist at all. 
I truly am so blessed and thankful to be invited back once again.

Tim Ashwell, AKA, Syncronicity, had a vibrant presence in the UK rave scene since 1990, Over the course of five exhilarating years, he travelled across the uk, immersing himself in the pulsating energy of the rave and early electronic music scene. Tim was fortunate enough to receive his own set of 1210s for his 18th birthday in 1990, and they are still going strong. He has amassed a huge catalogue of rave, original jungle, and DnB vinyl that he continues to use to this day.
Tim's DJ journey is marked by an eclectic evolution through various genres. Starting with the nostalgic beats of Rave, old-school, and Jungle , he seamlessly transitioned into the dynamic rhythms of breaks in the early noughties, and now captivates with his upbeat house music sets. His diverse background in DJing reflects his deep appreciation for the ever-changing landscape of electronic music, making him a versatile and engaging performer.
