“Perth’s purveyor of filthy beats comprised of mind-mashing hardcore kicks alongside the pitch-perfect clanging of the beloved snare.”

Perth’s underground scene was first introduced to Synista after he smashed a hardstyle set in Rise Nightclub’s “Bedroom To Bigroom” DJ competition back in 2010. Unfortunately he didn’t progress to the finals, but Synista’s musical prowess and stage mannerisms caught the eye of the local promoters who decided to give him a go.

Synista’s made his first vinyl purchase (“Hardstyle And Acid – John Ferris & Blutonium Boy” for those playing at home) before he had his own set of decks. “I was fortunate enough to be taught by some of Perth’s best local DJ’s such as Mayhem, Techen, ST and Tekneeqzz”. With their words of encouragement, and a few clips behind the ears, the enthusiasm and motivation they upheld whilst helping a new kid out, inspired Synista to keep pushing through. Luckily for him he did…

It wasn’t too long before Synista was playing a regular set at events such as Dominate, Ourstyle, United and Operation Hardstyle; and was inspired to keep furthering his skill set. Learning to be flexible with, and evolving his playing style, Synista excelled at sets that incorporated hardstyle through to hard techno, progressing though industrial hardcore to crossbreed.

Earlier life musical experiences and influences came from a wide range of music, including rock, heavy metal, 50’s do-wop and even classical; however once introduced to the underground scene, Synista found inspiration in techno, hardstyle and, of course, drum and bass. Synista somehow manages to bring the music from his past and the present all together in a brilliant display of earth-thumping and soul-twisting tunes that will make your ears bleed.
