Hi folks, well here's the last of the Dj mixes from this incredible night we all had at the Sasha Classics Social - 2023 party in Manchester. I must say the quality of all of the SCS dj mixes has been of  top quality & all hard acts to follow. The evening was one of the best nights/crowds i've played at in a long while. The build up to this event was immense and the night was beyond any of our expectations. A huge thank you to all you lovely people who came and partied hard until 4 a.m too, i wasn't expecting the floor to still be as busy and full of the nicest, clued up old skool ravers. Props to the Mods who worked so hard putting this together and also for maintaining this awesome Facebook group. Every DJ played a belter, Steve Vertigo was a complete gent and played a blinder as predicted. So it was left for me to finish off this seminal occasion with a set packed full of my edits which i'd created especially for this evening. I hope you enjoy this mix and it gives you the same enjoyment i had playing it to such a beautiful gathering of like minded souls. Thank you. Going out to everyone involved in the SCS site. As part of our celebrations marking Pete & Lee working together regularly for over 20 years, we’re putting on another of our vinyl only parties which was hands down our favorite party of 2023!
We were very fortunate to have lived throughout the 90s from a record collecting perspective, and a genre that we are so passionate about seems to be having a real renaissance with the new breed of Disco DJ’s!
That whole American sound had everything! Tough beats, beautiful chord structures, incredible vocals, dirty dubs, gut churning bass. In short, it was music with feeling!
House music seems to be lacking in soul somewhat these days so if you attended Pete’s birthday last November, you know you’re in for a real treat! We were bowled over with the turnout and atmosphere to say the least!
