In Berlin's hedonistic haven, 2021's embrace,
A castle's salon, where magic found its place.

As we embarked on a journey, beyond compare.

As emotional melodies, began to collide.
Flabbergasted we stood, at the sight so sweet,
Beautiful souls, in love's tender retreat.

Cuddling close, with laughter and delight,
Each note a kiss, in the morning light.

Hey everybody! We are really proud and happy to share this mix at the end of a big year that was 2022!

The year has felt like many years in many ways with the rollercoaster of challenges as well as highs.
Musically we were able to travel and build and expand our Meanwhile brand, and amongst that find new inspiration for the music we love.

Our intention is always to connect with the cosmic within us to be the bridge to manifest the sound that comes through us.

With that in mind, we wanted to bring forward a deep and introspective journey for this mix that reflected and resonated with our path as both artists and music lovers.

We really wanted to do something different; our intention and feeling was to create something timeless that listeners will want to keep coming back to… a listening experience more than a pure dancefloor set.
Most of our mixes these days being label owners and producers contain a lot of the freshest music we have access to which is always exciting, but for this we wanted more of a journey over a wider span of time and to present a flow that remains deep and reflective, with timeless tunes that fit no matter when or where they were written.

Of course there is some fresh stuff there from our labels and ourselves, as well as a few edits we have made especially for this mix.

We hope you all enjoy this journey; we poured our heart and soul into it and we are honoured to share this as the last 333 mix for the year that was 2022.

This is a raw recording from my sunrise set Lapa Stage, Envision Festival, Costa Rica. 22.02.2020.
Lots of oldies from previous sets in this one, but numerous requests and everything else about this morning has made it one for the books. 
Most of the animal sounds you can hear in the set was recorded up in the jungle where we stayed for a week.

SPRING SPLASHES

Sherif Nakhla is an Egyptian film director who also has been spinning all over Cairo since 2005 mixing tunes varying from funk to techno. He is also a VJ and a musician but mostly he gets his kicks from winning over a crowd no matter what sound they may be into in clubs such as 610, The Cairo Jazz Club, The Tap, Aurora and Nacelle's B'SIDES & FUNK n'POP. However, S. NAKHLA has been offline since his debut but now he's getting his online sh^t together!
