Minneapolis DJ VLAD (Vlad Hurduc)'s passion for electronic music goes back decades, to his childhood years in 1980s Romania and the rave era of the 90s. As a DJ he's been active in the music scene since 2013. Initially playing a variety of house, reggae, dancehall, Afrobeat, dub, and disco, VLAD has found a true passion and niche in house music, in many of its forms but especially deep house and jackin house. He's played his groovy, deep sets at festivals like Even Furthur, Bassgasm, and Jungle Love, on international podcasts like France's Little Routine Series, Brazil's Trip Hop Radio, and Romania's Black Rhino Radio, as well as at numerous club nights and underground parties in Minnesota and Wisconsin (including his own Past and Future Funk nights in 2016-2018 and the Housteria house nights in 2019-2020). His musical selections are varied and unique, always sure to take listeners and dancers on unexpected journeys.
