@lucaszarate-dj is a young DJ/Producer born in 2001 in Tucumán, northern of Argentina.

From a young age, he began to take an interest in the world of electronic music, exploring its more commercial side and discovering sounds that would later lead him to find a unique sound.

At the age of 18, he began his career as a DJ playing in well-known venues in his city, where he would form and slowly develop a distinctive sound.

year 2021 Lucas begins to develop as a music producer trying to captivate the ears of his listeners with fresh sounds, forceful rhythms and interesting melodies

2022 Currently Lucas continues to search for a sound that truly represents him but along the way he has already had enough achievements to know that he is on the right, path such as support from Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger and Gorje Hewek.

In the year 2023, Lucas joins forces with prominent figures in the Organic Scene such as Dulus, Molac, Alberto Hernandez, and Nicolas Viana to form the musical collective called "Sendas." The collective is dedicated to spreading electronic sounds with a Latin flavor. Currently, the project is gaining recognition and support from renowned artists in the scene, including Sebastien Leger, Volen Sentir, Gorje Hewek, and M.O.S, among others.

The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Hugo Cantarra and PLN with their rework of ‘Intro’ by The XX. Hailing from France, Hugo Cantarra has been a fixture of the house music underground for the better part of a decade. On the strength of early releases via Armada and SIZE Records, Hugo established a sound that was both memorable and club-effective, propelling him to subsequent projects via Anjunadeep, Cr2, Siona Records and Ultra; amongst others. Now a staple of the melodic house scene, the French artist has the distinction of racking up 41 millions streams and 1.5 million shazams, while remixing the likes of Danny Howard, Eli & Fur, Gorgon City and Technotronic, in turn earning the praise of Adriatique, Blondish, Camelphat, Chris Avantgarde, Kevin De Vries and Vintage Culture. Also a well-travelled DJ, Hugo has shared the booth with a bevy of top international tastemakers in Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Guy Gerber, David Guetta, Fatboy Slim, Meduza, Roger Sanchez and WhoMadeWho. A highlight and much requested track across Hugo’s 2024 gigs has been a rework of ‘Intro’ by The XX. Written in conjunction with elusive Polish artist and bootleg aficionado PLN, the duo’s rework has been a festival and club highlight this past year, championed by the likes of Eli & Fur who premiered it at the Yuma tent at Coachella to a resounding response, as well as Cosmic Gate, Korolova and Vintage Culture. Our final free download of the year finds Emi Galvan and D-Nox joining forces for a much-anticipated rework of Underworld’s ‘Dark & Long’. Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvin has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Universe’, the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene’s most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi’s electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Meanwhile, hailing from Germany but now based in Brazil, D-Nox has continued to thrill fans with both cutting edge music and enlightening DJ sets. Whether operating in solo capacity or as one half of D-Nox and Beckers, the German artist lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on Bedrock, Einmusika, Sudbeat and his own Sprout imprint. Having previously worked together for Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank imprint, Emi and D-Nox also took to re-imagining Underworld’s ‘Dark & Long’ earlier this year. Now over thirty years old, the Original version was the lead track on the British band’s third and most critically acclaimed album ‘dubnobasswithmyheadman’. As a favourite of Sasha, Digweed and a host of other A-list DJs, there are few productions which have stood the test of time in a more enduring fashion. Ending the year on high note, we’re thrilled to offer Emi and D-Nox’s much requested ‘Dark & Long’ interpretation as a free download. Enjoy.
