Bond Van Doorstarters Eighties (80's) Mix - by LAURNS

This is a megamix I did for Ferry Maat's Soul Show when it returned on air on Radio Veronica (The Netherlands) in September 2003. The mix was coded BVD 1002. I used mostly records from the 80s when I was a big fan of the radio show. 

On air host Ferry Maat informed future megamixers that this mix raised the bar pretty high :)It was funny to see that several other DJ's later used the "format" of this megamix as a blue print for their own megamixes. 

The intro and outro of this mix have been taken from my charted hitrecord The Happy Groover - When I snap my fingers.

In the beginning of Ruuds Career he made mixes for TROS 
Radio in Holland.
The radio show was called first "Soulshow" with Dj 

Ferry Maat and later on"Dance Tracks" presented by DJ 

Martijn Krabbe.

Because there is still so much in demand, I've 
decided to post them on SoundCloud. I have a total of 5 
years mixes made ​​in Soulshow and Dance Tracks.

DON'T Forget: These mixes where made when digital was 
not there!! I made these mixes with 2 Technics sl 1200 
Turntables and a Revox (2track) Taperecorder.
And there was "NO" sync button in those days ;-)

Special thanks go out to Erik Jan. Who delivered me the 1987 & 1988 episodes. Those where lost in my archive. I remasterd them a little to get a better quality. I noticed 1 little drop out on 20 minutes in the episode of 1987. For the rest the quality is perfect.

Dj WACKO started his career at very young age. He was playing with records at many high school partys. At the age of 18 he started to enjoin the Dj mixchampions. With a lot of scratching and backspinning. He even became on the Third place by the champioship of  'avro's 3 maal doordraai , With Dj Robin Albers. Then started the nineteens with a lot of new house! But he came back near 2005, with the new style. He created the early jump style with a mix of the OLD-SKOOL sounds and became a ressident Dj @ Orion. Where he played with famous Dj 's like , Dj Yves , Darkraver, OCD, . He started with his first own House-party , PULL-OVER! Begin 2008 he started to like more and more a sound with many influence off Tech-latin and electro House. He played at many partys , and the crowd always get wild off his energize way off mixing the different styles of music!.Also he became a memeber off the sucses full DJ group , The Party-People! For more than 3 years now, he is one off the RESIDENTS DJ,s at PUURDANCE! In the year 2020 will started a NEW HOUSE CONCEPT with the name WACKO PRESENTS!
