Another Music & Sky is in the books and wow! was this an incredible festival.  After playing a super fun 80s set Fri night and then holding it down as event MC and host all weekend, I was so exhausted Sun night that I thought I wouldn't make it for my 12:30 slot in the Speakeasy but lo and behold the energy kicked in and this is what came out of me... I hope you enjoy it as much as everyone did on the dance floor that night!

It was such a pleasure playing for my freedom fam in Australia at the Living Free Festival last weekend!  While I only had a 45min set, we made the most of it and got the dance floor groovin! 

I also spoke about the Currency of Experience the following day (on my birthday!)  That talk should be up on the Living Free platform soon.  Huge thanks to everyone who came out to make this inaugural event so magical.  I can't wait to come back and play a longer set next time!

SPRING TOGETHER - VOL. 2

To celebrate the peak of the summer season, we hauled a bunch of gear up to the top of our local mountain range overlooking the beautiful Smith River and threw a free full moon dance party last Saturday night. This took me back to my old raver days when our crew, For The People, used to throw free full moon parties in the Santa Barbara mountains.

We had a great turnout with super high vibes and a beautiful full moon. Special thanks to Lauren and Adam who dreamed up this beautiful experience for us all. The amazing backdrop, Lauren's killer portable dance floor and of course, all the amazing souls there made for an epic experience. We plan on hopefully doing this as quarterly event in different stunning wilderness areas so please follow me on Instagram to stay in the loop as I will announce the next one there!

Going way back here to the dawn of Blog Haus and the apex of electro.  Recorded this mix live in 2007 at Eos in Santa Barbara, CA for a party we threw called Bang Bang (the original one!).  Dudes like aRod (@arod-gdd) from Gotta Dance Dirty, DJ Erik Lohr (one half @gerard-de-la-disco) and Cam Francisco were residents and it was a very unique thing for that town at that time.  I need to find the tracklist somewhere as I don't even remember what all these songs were!!  Enjoy!!

THE MID SUMMER CLASSIC MIX - VOL. 6

I just discovered this gem while packing up stuff in my office today!  Wow, a total lost mix on an old CD from a live set back back in the day!  From the tracks and style guessing this is around 2002.  CD simply said "Live At The Zoo".  

The Zoo was the longest running electronic dance event in Santa Barbara featuring some of the biggest acts of that time including DJ Dan, Doc Martin, Donald Glaude, Derrick Carter, Kaskade, Christopher Lawrence, Marques Wyatt, Nigel Richards & so many more!

This was a pretty deep set for me back then so guessing it was on the patio.  Fun times indeed!  Of course 'all vinyl' set (you can hear the scratches) mixed on two turntables and probably a shitty mixer haha!  Enjoy!

This is a mix I did inspired by Outside In Equinox, the festival we threw in late September in the hills of Santa Barbara, CA.  Late nights under the stars with gritty, dark sounds full of funk and psychedelica.  I hope this mix captures that mood again for everyone who was there!

SECRET NIGHTS VOL. 1

In celebration of the new Soundcloud unlimited uploads update, I decided to get nostalgic and post a live mix back from '06. Featuring a bunch of dope early jams by the Ed Banger crew along with a ton of classic "electro" jams, this is a good changeup from the world of DEEP we all seem to be immersed in currently.  This was also way before Pitbull killed Federico Franchi's "Cream", it was a must-play at any club at this time.

This was originally released by SB Therapy Spring of '06,  on two turntables and vinyl.  God Bless homies.
