HEY MAN yo have the right idea alot of theses sounds are to mid-high range they should be more mid to low and i know its nice to have a strong bass kick drum but it make it harder to mix the bassline in which is probubly why you went for that particullar soundset. but i kow if you keep at it you'll get everyone does.
