What happens when you take 3 of the illest MCs in DC and put them together on a track?  You get taken to The Curry Out. 

The Curry Out is the first offering from DJ 2-Tone Jones' highly anticipated album project called CONTRABAND FROM INDIA. The track features Uptown XO and Let The Dirt Say Amen at the peak of their game going back and forth on the mic, and the gifted Kenilworth Katrina tying it all together on the hook.  Drew Dave laced the beat and give it the ultimate DC touch by using vocal samples from the legendary DJ Kool.

In 2016 I had the privilege of being selected to the inaugural Next Level program created by the music department at UNC Chapel Hill and sponsored by the US State Department. Along with a team of talented Hip Hop artists we traveled to India to conduct workshops, collaborate with local musicians and dancers, and put together performances to showcase various elements of Hip Hop culture.  

After nearly a month in the land of Gandhi I returned home with a stack of crazy ill traditional and bollywood records from Calcutta. I decided to hand-select tracks to send out to a range of legendary, heavy-hitting Hip-Hop producers to sample from. The result of this cultural experiment is CONTRABAND FROM INDIA.

The Black FORCE features select tracks from Mr. Smith's The F.O.R.C.E. album blended with a range of production from Black Milk. And although Q-Tip's original production is absent, his presence is still felt throughout the mixtape.
