No computers were harmed in the making of this edit ! Nothing about this experiment couldn't be replicated in the analogue domain with razor blade, splicing block, delay lines and a graphic EQ. No manner of time stretching, looping, syncing, sequencing or any form of computer generated 'assistance' was used. The DAW was simply used as a multitrack. A 31 band graphic EQ and the Lexicon PSP 84 were the only tools used. Part creative release, part response to the ubiquitous culture of plug and play music making.

YouTube user Camilla Brando isolated Freddie Mercury and David Bowie's vocals from Queen's "Under Pressure." While this was really cool of her, the audio was balanced completely on the left side! I grabbed the track and did a VERY quick stereo mix in Audacity, so both ears can enjoy. :)

David Bowie died January 10th, 2016. Although it was very sad to hear this, we realized just how much he has contributed to the music industry, and were thankful for his life. So we figured a good way to celebrate David Bowie was to remix one of his tracks. That's what we do. It's got a slow beat and a moving chord progression. Of course we shouldn't forget about Queen, the collaborating act in the original song. This song wouldn't be complete without them.
Rest in peace David Bowie and Freddie Mercury.
