i chose this song partly because of all its divine witchy goodness ✨ but mostly because of how much it validates my anger at and condemnation of the dumpster fire that is the patriarchy — inextricably intertwined with the beast of racism, white supremacy, homophobia, transphobia, puritanism, colonialism and capitalism.

whenever i listen to this song, i feel the melody and lyrics vibrate through my nervous system. it makes me want to scream at the top of my lungs for all of the witches burned at the stake!! for those who have suffered and those who are still suffering today under the boot of oppression, marginalization, discrimination, and hatred. none of you deserve this and i love you so much!
