❖ „Yes so what can I say; It’s been my birthday weekend and I spontaniously went to Confusius Festival where I dove in so deeply, that I played 15 hours at different stages having a beautiful time.

Qu'est-ce qui t'a fait tomber amoureuse de la downtempo ?

Je ne me souviens pas vraiment comment est née ma passion pour la downtempo, je n’ai pas de souvenir clair ou conscient, mais ce que je sais, c’est que cet amour s’est installé lentement, petit à petit, bâtissant progressivement un lien fort et durable avec la downtempo.

Au début, j’étais fascinée par son aspect mélancolique et nostalgique : les mélodies en mineur, les tensions harmoniques et leurs résolutions me rappelaient la musique classique. Plus tard, j’ai découvert et j’ai plongé dans la puissance des lignes de basse plus groovy, les kicks profonds et les bruits irréguliers par ci par là. Selon mon humeur, j’ai commencé à explorer d’autres émotions que la nostalgie, notamment la douceur, et en même temps, l’étrangeté de la downtempo. J’adore qu'elle puisse être à la fois chaleureuse et inquiétante. C’est complexe, flou, et je sais jamais vraiment sur quel pied danser — ce qui crée en moi des mouvements drôles et décalés  ! Et je crois que j’aime cet état d’esprit étrange, cet état du corps étrange aussi.

Quelle émotion ou pouvoir magique de la downtempo tu explores dans ton set et pourquoi ?

Dans ce set, j’ai le sentiment d’explorer un pouvoir particulier de la downtempo : sa capacité à jeter des sorts. Des sortilèges de toutes les couleurs. Parce que pour moi, la downtempo est comme une sorcière, dans son sens le plus originel : une magicienne, une femme un peu en marge, qui déclenche quelque chose chez ceux qui l’écoutent.

Parfois c’est une sorcière de la neige et des montagnes, parfois envoûteuse de la nuit, parfois magicienne de l’aube. Elle oscille entre espièglerie et mystère. Elle est lente, elle traîne des pieds, un ‘lazy bit' à la fois. En chemin, elle collecte des sons de la terre, de l’eau, du ciel et du feu. Elle devient lourde, marche plus fort, plus profondément, presque à bout de souffle.

Puis, elle chute… dans le sommeil, et se repose — juste un instant. Mais bientôt, elle renaît, d’abord par son battement de cœur, puis son souffle, son bourdonnement intérieur, le clignement de ses yeux, ses murmures et, enfin, le son de sa voix. Elle revient à la vie, avec une force tranquille, se dirige vers sa cible — l’auditeur — prête à jeter ses sorts à nouveau… Elle ne meurt jamais."

What a beautiful story and lesson behind this set ...I originally deleted it earlier today as I was not happy with many aspects of it...
the timing of the mixes, sound quality and tempo felt off to me.

I received two very beautiful messages soon after I deleted it...the first from Freddy H cabrerra ...an artist who made me realise we as artists overthink our work sometimes and are our harshest critics.....
and second @larsnik who told the story of his girlfriend who was in an accident last night on her Harley with moose in Norway.She luckily escaped , they celebrated life to the set and a bath with wine n( I melt)

So in honour of life and the lessons of love it gives, I re-mixed the set with all lessons learnt and dedicate this to @larsnik and his other half .....and @freddy-h-cabrera-495832686 and to life ,love and peace ♡
