This mix was a special one for me to put together. Awakenings is more than just an event on my heart; it’s a coming together of minds and souls and energy. 
Since the first time I was lucky enough to play Awakenings in 2013. I often carry the vibe and feeling of what it feels like to play on the stage around with me for inspiration. 
I’ve missed Awakenings and all it means and cannot wait for our return, this mix is my tribute to that special intensity of feeling we feel in that world of Awakenings.

Ransak joins our mix expedition to present Volume 20. Ransak has been a dedicated jungle and drum & bass DJ since 1994, known for his passion for deep breaks, atmospheric sounds, and the darker edges of the genre. As a resident DJ at Vibration Centre in Pasadena, CA, Ransak holds court every second Sunday of the month, delivering captivating vinyl sets that highlight his signature atmospheric and deep break selections. Big respect to the crew: Jaes, Flowah, Kaustin, and J Rolla.

Volume 20 is a deep and introspective journey, sourcing modern descendants of Blue Note/Platinum Breakz era Metalheadz, and Good Looking Records styles. The two Source Direct classics featured here help drive that point home. They slide in seamlessly next to tracks from modern day greats such as Nebula, ASC, and Kloke.

Re:Circulation is a new mix series which will feature older tunes that either never made it onto a Body&Soul mix, or classics that did but I want to revisit and revive them by mixing them with different tracks, and also there will be a few new tunes (mostly when none of the tunes in my library will fit!). Circulation was the first Body&Soul mix, so the title seemed fitting lol. I have a good bit of tunes that just didn't fit in (it's the land of misfit tunes!) and kind of got left on the backburner, but they're great tunes, so they aren't "rejects". FYI! These mixes will also include some older tunes that were recently re-released on a comp (tunes I missed originally), or ones I just found going through back catalogues. Enjoy the mix.
