🇬🇧 For this new OPÊ edition, I’m honored to introduce @yemanjo, an artist with a deeply global vision and a unique sensitivity for connecting cultures through sound.
His ability to blend downtempo atmospheres, organic rhythms and traditional influences from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East creates a personal, intimate and ritualistic musical language that has always inspired me.

I’m truly grateful to have him as part of SOLEÁ · OPÊ, bringing his essence to this special branch of the project.

Yemanjo is a producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist with an international trajectory that has taken him around the world in recent years.
His sound merges organic house and downtempo with global folk influences, releasing on labels such as Wonderwheel Recordings, Sol Selectas, Café de Anatolia and Cosmic Awakenings, including a full-length album on Wonderwheel in 2024.

In his performances he blends original music with singing in multiple languages, trumpet, percussion and other instruments in an electro-acoustic live set.
He also offers hybrid DJ sets with live instrumentation, bringing refreshing sonic diversity and decades of experience as a performer and frontman.

🇪🇸 Para esta nueva entrega de OPÊ tengo el honor de presentar a Yemanjo, un artista con una visión profundamente global y una sensibilidad única para conectar culturas a través del sonido.
Su manera de fusionar atmósferas downtempo, ritmos orgánicos y elementos tradicionales de América Latina, África y Oriente Medio crea un lenguaje musical propio, íntimo y ritual, que siempre me ha inspirado en mi camino.

Quiero darle las gracias por formar parte de SOLEÁ · OPÊ y por aportar su esencia a esta rama tan especial del proyecto.

Yemanjo es un productor, cantante y multiinstrumentista con una trayectoria internacional que lo ha llevado a recorrer el mundo durante los últimos años.
Su sonido combina organic house y downtempo con influencias folclóricas globales, y ha publicado en sellos como Wonderwheel Recordings, Sol Selectas, Café de Anatolia y Cosmic Awakenings, incluyendo un álbum completo lanzado en 2024 bajo Wonderwheel.

En sus actuaciones mezcla música original con canto en varios idiomas, trompeta, percusión y otros instrumentos, creando un set electroacústico único.

🇬🇧  For this sixth edition of OPÊ, I’m honored to present K’you, a French producer and DJ whose musical journey has unfolded across France, Mexico, and the Canary Islands.

His story began between France and Mexico City, where he became part of the project Lemont Mint alongside Rafa Navajas, and later the duo Djeko & K’you, known for their distinctive blend of Tropical House and Deep Disco.
For nearly a decade, these projects led him to some of Mexico’s most influential festivals and clubs — M.N. Roy, Bahidorá, Gitano Tulum, Vaivén — and to release more than ten Disco House tracks on respected labels such as Midnight Riot (UK), Spa In Disco (ES), Rare Wiri (ES) and Super Spicy (MX).

After this chapter, K’you embarked on a new path in the Canary Islands, where he is now based. Since 2023, he has been developing his solo project, inspired by the islands and their cultural closeness to Africa — evolving naturally towards a deeper Afro House sound while keeping his unmistakable tropical essence.
His recent works include DAIMA (YHV Records) and NUYORICANO & CAYO COCO, in collaboration with Suagar (Futura Groove Records).

He is also the creator of SELVÁTICA, an Afro House event series that is reshaping the electronic music scene in the Canary Islands. Its success gave rise to SELVÁTICA Records, his own imprint and a platform dedicated to supporting emerging and local talent.

This Guest Mix captures all of that journey and influence: roots, movement, warmth, and evolution.
A deep, vibrant, and life-filled set.

🇪🇸  Para esta sexta entrega de OPÊ tengo el honor de presentar a K’you, productor y DJ francés con un recorrido musical profundamente ligado a Francia, México y las Islas Canarias.

Su historia comenzó entre Francia y Ciudad de México, donde formó parte del proyecto Lemont Mint junto a Rafa Navajas, y del dúo Djeko & K’you, conocido por su inconfundible mezcla de Tropical House y Deep Disco. Durante una década, estos proyectos lo llevaron a los festivales y clubes más influyentes de México —M.N. Roy, Bahidorá, Gitano Tulum, Vaivén— además de publicar más de diez lanzamientos de Disco House en sellos como Midnight Riot (UK), Spa In Disco (ES), Rare Wiri (ES) y Super Spicy (MX).

Este Guest Mix refleja toda esa trayectoria y todas esas influencias: raíz, viaje, ritmo y evolución.
