'The mental health charity label returns with a stunning re-issue of Octogen’s release on Soma Recordings - a highly revered Scottish label founded in 1991 by none other than Dave Clarke and Slam. Originally released in 2008, its idiosyncratic spaced pads work effortlessly over a moody yet transcending bassline. The 7 minute sonic trip stands as a true testament to it’s track name ‘The Journeyman’ and despite being over 17 years old - it truly is one of those pieces of music which brings a whole new meaning to the term “timeless”. The B side features two original cuts from the actual man behind the mysterious Octogen alias, making this release a beautiful comparison between old and new as you flip the record over. Marco Bernardi’s ‘Travelling to the Sun’ underpins Serenity’s sound as an emotive house/techno label, with its gentle yet almost hypnotic chimes that layer neatly over raw and stripped back drums. Whilst ‘Little Tiny Crickets’ in contrast offers up the label’s usual B2 plot twist, with the track leaning more into the realms of IDM. Fast-paced in-your-face drums are met with squelchy raw synth work - perfectly showcasing Marco as a producer who’s really on another level. All proceeds of SER007 will be donated to Papyrus UK - a charity specialising in youth suicide prevention and MusicSpace.’

Lemon & Herb is a trio of producers/djs from KZN (Kwazulu Natal Province in South Africa), namely Don Sithole, Skhumbuzo Radebe and Thansanqa Ntintili. 

Ocha Records is excited to present to you their debut full-length release. It includes the hits, "Velani", "Heaven" and "For the Birds" as well as some amazing new tunes that should find a place on your playlist for months and years to come. 

Lemon & Herb's first release on Ocha Records, "Velani" was supported and beaten into submission by Osunlade, Louie Vega and Black Coffee, to name a few of DJs that we love. Other DJs that supported this moving song included, Culoe de Song, Master Kev, Danny Krivit, Simbad, and Atjazz. But even before that success, they had already won a remix contest for their work on the Atjazz and Robert Owens tune "Love Someone".

Two of the most respected songwriters in our scene, Kafele and Eliki come together again to deliver nothing short of a sexy masterpiece. Eliki, (pronounced Ee-like-ee) is an artist known for her sweet soulful tone. 
A voice that reminds you of a past generation with a wordplay and style that reflects the here now. Kafele, trumpeter, composer and producer, has been playing the trumpet for over 20 years. The name Kafele (pronounced kuh-FAY-lay) is of African origin, and means worth dying for. Born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We are so excited to be able to bring this inspiring team to you on this release. 

On remix duties we have some of our favorite young stars doing what they do best. DJ Cecil's Beatdown is exactly that, a soul-filled broken beatdown straight from the Bay Area. While rising star and fellow Ocha artist Ezel brings his signature Quisqueya Soul sound and takes the tune for a ride. South African superstar Eltonnick representing red hot Baainar Records delivers a remix that has already proven to be a chart-topping smash in SA and last but certainly not least, Israel's Yotam Avni lets the vocals breathe and tells us "More is Less".
