these last few tunes are clearly psy-trance, not trance (raw / deep / hypnotic.) Are they in Johns list? Weird if they are.

Our mutual friend Scott gave me the link to your set. Did you play them all? I've been wanting to play it too. Did John say we had to play every tune? I only have about 6 of these tunes at the moment so I'll have to buy the rest from Beatport. I'd rather get from Bandcamp so they FLAC format but Ah well.

This sound right here reminds me of my early days of raving. This is what Trance is to me, and I love it. Thank you!

John 00 Fleming recently curated a top 20 alternative Trance chart for 2024 on Beatport. He mentioned on his page that it would be great if someone did a mix of the tracks in the chart that he could broadcast on his radio show as his guest mix, and got an amazing response. 

He put his favourite mixes entered into a playlist on his Soundcloud page and then he selected my mix to be played in the last hour on his radio show! What an honour!

Right from when I first started playing many moons ago, J00F's publicly open philosophy on DJing has been a big influence in the way I think about playing and putting music together, and no matter what time I'm scheduled to DJ how to read and play to a crowd. 

While my usual selection of music is often quite different to J00F's style, his influence is firmly embedded in my DJing psyche, and it has been a great honour to have the opportunity to put together a mix of tracks selected by one of my biggest idols in the trance scene.

A special mix for John 00 Fleming. From the first time I saw JOOF play at Sunnyside Up in London in 1998, he's remained one of the most influential and consistent DJ's I've had the pleasure of listening to and following. 
This mix is a wonderful journey of various styles of quality trance including Progressive, Deep, Hypnotic, Raw/Driving and Psy Trance.

I’m really enjoying this time away from my usual manic tour life — it’s giving me space to re-energise, reset, and reflect on where I want to be musically. I’ve been hunting for new music, discovering fresh artists and labels, and reconnecting with the sounds that inspire me.
I also spent some time listening back to old mixes of mine — BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes and more — and it reminded me just how deeply rooted Deep Hypnotic Trance is in my journey. Stop, pause that thought, breathe and focus on today it is ALL we have - moment by moment. If today's ain't so hot - don't worry, it's only temporary. Think of your life as an hourglass. You know there are thousands of grains of sand in the top of the hourglass; and they all pass slowly and evenly through the narrow neck in the middle. Nothing you or I could do would make more than one grain of sand pass through this narrow neck without impairing the hourglass. You and I and everyone else are like this hourglass...if we do not take (tasks) one at a time and let them pass...slowly and evenly, then we are bound to break our own... fragile structure. Hi, I'm Dj Eli G. My early musical influences began when I played with my father's vinyl collection, listening to his 70's and 80's rock and disco tracks. As a kid, I loved Men At Work, The Police, Eurythmics, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Black Box, Quadrophonia, Technotronic, SNAP, to name a few. I was an active member of the rave scene in the early 90's, listening to rave tracks, old-skool house, breaks, jungle and some of the first trance ever produced. What an amazing time for electronic music this was!🎶
Over the years, further musical influences came in the from labels, DJs and producers such as Harthouse and Eye Q Records and Oliver Leib, Zero Tolerance Recordings, Felix Da Housecat, Carl Cox, BT, Hooj Choons, Lee Burridge, Quivver, Sasha and John Digweed, Anthony Pappa, Platypus Records, Fluid Records, Bedrock and so, so many more amazing artists and labels.
Currently, I broadcast a weekly, live radio show called 'Natural Progression', which streams live on Wicked Beats Radio every Saturday 1am-5am (UK time). While I feature a wide variety of music on the show, progressive house and trance, melodic and deep house and progressive breaks are a major focus. Depending on where i'm playing, I also love mixing progressive psytrance, goa, deep, driving and hypnotic trance and melodic and uplifitng grooves.
