I made a promise to start sharing my live radio shows on Soundcloud in 2025. This show,  'Natural Progression Saturday Session' was recorded live on March 1st, 2025. This 3 hour journey features of some of my favourite tunes from both the past and present, including a selection of atmospheric, melodic and progressive soundscapes. I absolutely loved mixing this show. The music represents some of my favourite styles of electronica which I truly hope you'll enjoy as much as I do. As usual, I did not pre-plan or program this mix beforehand, because I feel this brings the right feeling, both when I broadcast my show and when I mix live. Controlled Substance - May 2025

By the mid-’90s, while peak-time anthems dominated global dancefloors, Melbourne started developing its own dialect—a darker, more hypnotic sound rooted in restraint. At its core was a small community of DJs and producers, united by a shared refusal to chase trends.  The sound they conjured was haunting: progressive but with a sparse architecture which created ample space for atmosphere. Indeed, a Zero Tolerance track spilled across the dancefloor with the tension of a coming storm. Uncompromising, yet cerebral.

To supplement our deep dive with Gab Oliver (see link above for full feature), the label head compiled an exclusive mix filled with fresh label cuts released on the label since its 2021 relaunch. 

No nostalgia, just fresh pressure.

My live recording from Sanctuary Weekender!

This is an amazing event ran by some legendary friends Thad Lester & Leigh Lester held in the middle of the Otway's forest - my favourite place in the world. It's a school camp style eco retreat surrounded by beautiful Aussie bush scenery. Inside the barn is possibly the lushest most welcoming dancefloor/soundsystem i've played on! Funktion-One sound, about 15 couches to choose from, 2 incredible fireplaces + the best group of people who love to dance, it really made this winter weekender such an amazing experience.

I was on early in the festival so I went with a nice groovy warm up style set to welcome in the weekend. It was so awesome seeing my friends and new faces fill the room for the first time while playing on the Friday night 🙂

Shoges - Live @ Sanctuary Weekender 2025

I'm thrilled to share the recording of my opening set for Hernan Cattaneo this past Friday on June 13th. Hernan has been playing my music in his sets for some time now—the very first promo I ever sent him was a bootleg of 'The System' by Inertia. Since then, he's played several of my tracks numerous times across different parts of the world and on his radio show - Resident.

As a DJ, the art of opening up a room is very special to me. I always pour a lot of thought and passion into my opening sets, understanding that it's far more than just track selection. It's about genuinely connecting with the environment and the evolving energy of the crowd, without fatiguing people's ears.

In the past couple of years, Hernan has trusted me to warm up the decks before him. This set was especially significant for me because I was able to build the atmosphere deeper, increase the energy slightly and mellowing it down before handing the decks off to him to a crowd that was ready to dance.

Due to logistical reasons when the boat was docked, the music had to be turned down while the boat was embarking - recording split in two as a result

Paula OS is a Chilean-born, Argentina-based producer, singer, and DJ crafting atmospherically rich electronica influenced by acts like Radiohead, Portishead, and Björk. She launched her solo live project in 2017—dreamy vocals with hypnotic textures—which eventually led to a collaboration with Hernán Cattáneo and Soundexile on Renaissance: the alluring ‘Harvest’ EP. Earlier this year, she founded her own label, Sopor Music, kicking things off with ‘Image’, a solo six-track album coded with electronica and emotional hues.

On this Balance Selections mix, Paula OS delivers a dynamic take on progressive, filled with cerebral moments and pure dancefloor diesel. Hi, I'm Dj Eli G. My early musical influences began when I played with my father's vinyl collection, listening to his 70's and 80's rock and disco tracks. As a kid, I loved Men At Work, The Police, Eurythmics, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Black Box, Quadrophonia, Technotronic, SNAP, to name a few. I was an active member of the rave scene in the early 90's, listening to rave tracks, old-skool house, breaks, jungle and some of the first trance ever produced. What an amazing time for electronic music this was!🎶
Over the years, further musical influences came in the from labels, DJs and producers such as Harthouse and Eye Q Records and Oliver Leib, Zero Tolerance Recordings, Felix Da Housecat, Carl Cox, BT, Hooj Choons, Lee Burridge, Quivver, Sasha and John Digweed, Anthony Pappa, Platypus Records, Fluid Records, Bedrock and so, so many more amazing artists and labels.
Currently, I broadcast a weekly, live radio show called 'Natural Progression', which streams live on Wicked Beats Radio every Saturday 1am-5am (UK time). While I feature a wide variety of music on the show, progressive house and trance, melodic and deep house and progressive breaks are a major focus. Depending on where i'm playing, I also love mixing progressive psytrance, goa, deep, driving and hypnotic trance and melodic and uplifitng grooves.
