My dj career started around 2000 at Rugged Vinyl and a club and support dj for various production companies since 2002, as an uplifting and hard trance under the pseudo Jeremi Slater. I have played as a support Dj host of national & international gigs for Cape Town to Johannesburg, featuring headliners the likes of , Dj Dean, Amber D(UK), Hardy Boyz Manuel Oetl & Dean Athenides(JNB), Dizzy(JNB), Speedy(JNB), Organ Donors, Lisa Lashes(UK), Rachel Arburn(UK), Steve Hill MAsif Records(Au), Guyver & Technikal(UK) between 2003 - 2009. Over the past few years I have held residencies at Club 55, AD04, Café Tequila and Club Privilege being the most recent venue. 

As an event producer I hosted a number of local and international hard dance events since 2004 with 2011 being my last year as a promoter in the Hard Dance scene,

I also played in the house scene for a number of years and gigged in various clubs around Cape Town, Vacca Matta, Vegas, and Cock & Tails & Babbaloos to mention a few. My house genres: Club Electro & Minimal, Progressive House, Tech & Minimal.
Being a thoroughbred vinyl dj by heart, I have had to move with times and technology, so I'm completely adept on jays and turntables. When comes to the art, its about love and true passion...anyone can learn how to play, but not everyone can be a good dj! 

With the SA Rave scene unravelling and left in tatters, I needed a change, and that led me to my first outdoor event in 2010, Rezonance NYE,…I immediately hooked...my place was not on the dance floor...it was in the DJ BOX!

A year later, I stepped into psytrance scene as DJ FLYP PSYD, at an event that I co-promoted, MAGICAL FOREST - SAVING PRIVATE RHINO, Aug 18, 2012, and I got to share the stage with some of Cape Towns top Psy Jocks, live performers and side entertainers, and the start of my winding journey find my place and establish my name on Cape Towns Psy Scene as a dj!
