Tosca have been curating top shelf remixes of their material for as long as the group has been in existence. While working on their latest remix collection <i>Tlapa</i>, Richard Dorfmeister & Rupert Huber decided to extend an invitation to their fans to contribute remixes. In conjunction with Beatport, they conducted a remix contest for the non-album track "Looking," and after serious deliberation, have chosen Daniel Broadhurst's excellent remix as the winner. 

The winning remix is available now as a single on <a href="http://www.beatport.com/release/looking/1152839">Beatport</a>, and the full remix album is <a href="http://k7.greedbag.com/buy/tlapa-the-odeon-remixes-2/">out now</a>.

FAT-zig 012 - Thomas Stieler - Balcony Sessions

Embedded in an adventurous landscape on the edge of the Thüringian Highlands, is Saalfeld. The best known and richly rewarding Fairy Grottoes are the most colorful grottoes in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Aside from the famous caves, Saalfeld also lays claim to Thomas Stieler. Here he lives and breathes, walks his dog and puts blood, sweat and tears into the beats. Regularly he switches on his outboard motor and motors down the Saale. Sometimes he even takes an excursion to the Ilm river. To add, he is also the proud owner of secure anchorage in Weimar (Polynom).

 
In Jena there is always a good and solid sound in his ear. He has always been a Fan. FAT was of the opinion that he should stick around! Institutionalized on techno and (for years now) one of the top DJs around, he hangs his hat on House. His debut for FAT is not his first release. He wants to rediscover house with his own flavor. Thomas feels this unending spirit and the timeless power of house music, which can bring about movement and laughing faces at the same time. Here he has concocted four fine-groove Stielletto's that wont leave you wanting in regards to House. Something more than official, as a first FAT release, issued forth from Mr. Stieler. 

Eingebettet in landschaftlich reizvoller Umgebung am Rande des Thüringer Schiefergebirges liegt Saalfeld. Die bekannteste, lohnende Sehenswürdigkeit sind die Feengrotten mit den laut Guinnessbuch farbenreichsten Schaugrotten der Welt. Außer berühmten Kleckerhöhlen hat Saalfeld Thomas Stieler. Hier atmet er, führt den Hund aus und gibt sich mit Leib und Seele den Beats hin. Regelmäßig schmeißt er seinen Heckmotor an und schippert die Saale herunter. Gern setzt er auch mal zur Ilm über. Er ist stolzer Besitzer  eines festen Ankerplatzes in Weimar (Polynom).

In Jena schallte es ihm immer schon deftig und liebenswert zugleich ins Ohr. Er bezeichnet sich selbst schon lange als Fan. FAT meint nun, Moment mal, Freundchen, hier geblieben!Mit Techno sozialisiert und seit Jahren als Top-DJ unterwegs, heißt seine Arche heute House. Sein Debüt für FAT ist nicht seine erste Veröffentlichung. Er will House nicht neu erfinden, aber seinen persönlichen eigenen Teint verpassen. Thomas spürt  diesen unendlichen Spirit und die zeitlose Kraft in Housemusik, welche Bewegung und lächelnde Gesichter zugleich erzeugen kann. So hat er hier vier finest groove Stiellettos ausgeheckt, da beißt der House kein Faden ab. Ein mehr als amtliches erstes FAT-Release darf Herrn Stieler hier bescheinigt werden.
