I always think “I’m too young to work with big labels and to collab with talented artists.” But every time I try my best so I decided to write to one of my favourite young artist: David. I never thought that he would accepted. From this moment starts our friendship. Two kids that produce the skeleton of a track and send back to the other that modify some stuffs, then they try labels, they are rejected, but they try again and again. The fifth edition of KKUVA houses four epic tracks from a cluster of sonically diverse artists with one thing in common: standing together under the techno umbrella.
Stuttgarters Vamos Art describe their music as “hypnotic techno”, a label that couldn’t describe the first track, Antistatic better. Mesmerizing from the first bars, its dynamic yet progressive build up makes for an instant dancefloor weapon. Italy’s Roby M Rage has been alternating lockdown time between live streams and producing heavy hitters, as is evident with his track X-File. Highly engaging dark techno descending into acid, it spells smokey atmosphere all throughout. Also hailing from Italy, newcomer Omis brings a hard techno edge with Secret State, a solid groove with weighty drums and an acid-tinged lead. Bristol-based duo Jägerhertz round up the release with the buzzing Starliner, a scintillating slice of restrained techno.

Jockster is a Swansea based Techno DJ. He started DJing in 99/00-from there secured several residences including Fresh (3 years), Glitch (1 year)-played across South Wales and West Wales and alongside various DJs including Daniel Soto (Godskitchen), Dean Facer, Steve Lee (The Gallery), Marc Vedo (Koolwaters, Naughty But Nice), Ilogik, Nick Rafferty (Sundissential), Cally & Juice & John Kelly (Manumission, Quadrant, Clockwork Orange).

Starting out with trance and hard trance he played until 2006 then took a break to create room for the arrival of his first child.

In 2016 Jock returned to DJing and launched a monthly techno podcast called ‘TechTonic’ quickly building a following across various platforms including Soundcloud, ITunes, YouTube, Google Podcasts and Facebook among others.

Each and every month TechTonic has brought upfront Techno & House with a mixture of guest mixes from around the world. It is syndicated across multiple platforms and has global plays of 150k+ making it Wales No1 Techno Podcast
