This week we have a very special guest mix from Jaime Orebeat. He is the CEO of Distorsion Records, a multigenre artist, with more than 10 years on stage, has some awards nationally and internationally.

Orebeat is one of the forerunners of the Garage sound in Spain, component of the promoter EL GARAGE Music and he's bringing us a fire of a mix to the RIPEcast. We're honored to have him. Here's what Jaime had to say about the mix:

Orebeat RIPEcast Exclusive Mix

Heavyweight Breaks 2020 is a snapshot of the hottest bass fuelled breaks released over the past 12 months mixed by myself Skool of Thought.

Those of you who have been following me will know I released the first Heavyweight Breaks mix CD on SuperCharged back in 2002. The approach for that mix then is the same now - 10 extremely carefully selected tracks which showcase the very best of the scene. 

The trick for me has always been to select tracks that are bass-heavy without being tear-out and uplifting without being cheesy. 

Naturally, I would like to extend my huge thanks to the heavyweight of breaks  - the producers who featured in this mix.

I hope you enjoy the mix.

Heavyweight Breaks 2020

JSTR has played at almost every major venue across Adelaide & rural South Australia over the years as well as various venues interstate (an a couple overseas). He often plays the private and exclusive parties for SAFM and also plays for Fresh 927's 'Book A DJ' service.

He has been fortunate enough to support some of Australias best talent including The Veronicas, Timomatic, The Rubans, Samantha Jade, Justice Crew and even played and hosted an exclusive VIP backstage party for Beyonce held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. 

He has also had the pleasure of playing along side some amazing Aussie DJs such as Bombs Away, Bonka, Press Play, Jesse James,  Stafford Brothers, Joel Fletcher, Slice & Dice, Tigerlily, Mobin Master, Mind Electric, SCNDL, Uberjakd, Brooklyn & Courtney Mills. 

JSTR's signature mashups and energetic sets always get the crowd pumping and have helped to establish his own unique sound within the Adelaide DJ scene. His years of experience and impressive music collection contributes to some awesome sounding sets and includes the occasional old school anthem being dropped in which always keeps the crowd guessing and leaves them wanting more!
